I Have Sweet Boys...

I still can't look at my moms blog without crying...
I was just looking at it and Trevor saw me crying and came over and said 'up mom, hug'. He gave me a hug, rubbed my back and said 'ssshhhh'. Then Cody came over, saw what was on the computer, and said 'it's ok mom, I miss Mimi too' and I got another hug. Why are my kids the ones taking care of me? Isn't it supposed to be the other way around?

Ultrasound #4

I had another ultrasound this morning and had much better news today. Last time, the cord was wrapped around his neck twice, which I didn't know...Today it was only draped around his neck, kind of like a scarf. The placenta is still in good position and all of the body parts look great. The measurements from his head, belly, and legs suggest he is 5 lbs right now and is in the 55% tile for size. He is supposed to gain 1/2 a pound a week from now on so we're hopefully looking at a 7 1/2 pound baby...none of that almost 9 lb business this time.

The only thing about Justin is this...This is the position he prefers to be in...I'm my stomach!! I guess he rests his feet on my liver, right under my rib cage, which is why I have a hard time breathing half of the day.

And last night was my first "I'm done being pregnant" feeling/breakdown. I couldn't sleep, my hips were killing me for the first time, I couldn't catch my breath for the life of me, and just all around uncomfortable. But on the bright side, I only have about 4 weeks left and then we get to meet our third beautiful baby boy!

Dr's App

Just a quick update: I had a Dr's appointment today and had to get another NST (stress test). So far, both of the NST's have looked great. I have to get another ultrasound Friday to see if the cord is still wrapped about Justin's neck. If it's not, I'll be done with the stress tests, which is obviously what we're hoping for. Then I have another appointment in 2 more weeks and will be scheduling the induction. 4 weeks away!!!! WOOO-HOOO!

Cody's First Day of Preschool!

For Cody's first day of school, our morning started out wwwwaaaaayyyyy different than usual. Usually, we wake up around 9:30...today the alarm was set for 5:45!!! Cody was actually already semi awake too. He was pretty excited. I went to go get Trevor out of his crib while Cody was getting up and put Trevor back in bed with Greg so I could get Cody ready. There were no fits about what to wear, no screaming at the top of his lungs. I was very impressed with Cody today. He watched Franklin while I got Trevor dressed and then it was time to go.
Cody showing off his Batman backpack
"Cheeeeeese"
Cody saying "Preschooool"
And Trevor letting me know there are ants on the ground...very observant, LOL
We left 45 mins early hoping we would be on time. If your late, the teachers lock the door! Everything was fine until we got stopped at the train!!!!! And I don't think the train driver knew what he was doing. It took a good 15 mins of stopping, going, and reversing for him to finally decide to get out of everyones way! What a pain! BUT, since I was a race car driver in another life, we were able to get there just in time. Actually, I think we were 5 mins late, but parents were still signing their kids in.
Greg and I were both so excited, we both went to pick him up. The teachers said he had a great day and he even wants to go back tomorrow! We'll see how long that lasts :) I keep telling myself it will be much easier when we live a block away...and it will.

Saturday

I have been lucky enough to meet some really great people and have some really awesome friends in my 26 years, but I classify Katie and LeAnne as Best friends to this very day..even after 18 years (give or take some years) And now they too have kids of their own. Katie has Riley w/ another one on the way, and LeAnne has Harper. I'm so excited to be moving back over on that side of town so our kids can grow up together!! Saturday we all got to hang out and go swimming at Katies Moms house. I think it was the first time ever having all of our kids together at the same time?
And Cody was there too, but he was way to busy to sit still for a picture...Oh, and it was also his first time getting stung by a bee!! He screamed bloody murder and of coarse wanted his Dad. Luckily Greg was at my moms house working and it's just a couple blocks away. Cody did push Trevor in the pool twice though, so I guess it was karma?

We have some stinkin cute kids if you ask me!!!! :)))

Cody's Preschool!!

It's getting closer!!! Our BIG man starts preschool next Tuesday! Today we had his preschool orientation and he had so much fun meeting all of his new school mates and friends...granted only about 7 or 8 probably speak English, but that's a whole other story.
Anywhooo0. Trevor is going to be so upset when Cody gets to go to school. He thought he was one of the big kids today playing in the classroom :)
And somehow I managed to volunteer myself for "Policy Chairperson." It's actually the perfect job for me! I only have to go to 1 meeting a month with all the other chair people from the different elementary schools in the district, and basically be a voice for the teachers. Just let everyone know how our classroom is going, what works, what doesn't work, things we may need, policies that should be different, etc. But I did warn the teacher that I can be kind of pushy and impatient at times (specially when it has to do with my kids:) and she said that was exactly what they needed, so hopefully they wont be too sick of me by the end of the year. AND, I can also be a parent volunteer in the room, which I'm very excited about...Cody may not be too happy, but I'm thrilled! :)
Stay tuned for First Day of Preschool pictures!!!!...and if I'm crying, don't worry, it's completely normal :)))...I cried in Target when I bought him his first backpack...

A Blessing!!!!

I got an email this morning from our lawyers to let us know the auction on our house has been postponed!!! Having lawyers is actually starting to pay off. They did enough kicking and screaming to the bank and talked them into giving us more time for a short sale. So if you know anyone looking for a house in Litchfield Park, ours is listed for....drum roll please.... $90,000!!!!!!! And they still plan on lowering it until we get an offer.
Anyway, I was just emailing my sister about what a huge relief it is to have more time, at least for Greg. I don't know exactly how long we have, but I'm guessing around 30 days. Much better then 24 hours right? My MOM must be watching over us right now because time is exactly what we needed!

You Know You're Getting Old When...

I know I'm getting old when I can't stand to be at the mall on a Saturday afternoon... I had to go pick up a gift and right when I walked in the mall and saw all the people (teenagers and raging hormones) I had instant anxiety!!! What person in their right mind would choose to do this? Is it sad to say that I feel much more comfortable going at 10 in the morning when all the senior citizens are doing their morning walk around the mall? Luckily for me, the stores I had to go to were right across from each other and I was in and out in about 15 minutes. Remind me never to do that again!

For My Fellow Pregnant Ladies

Recently I've been doing some research on postpartum belly wraps. I've never used one before, but this being my forth child, I think my skin might appreciate a little extra help getting back to normalcy...(whatever that means).
I was just wondering if anyone has had any experience using one, and what the outcome was? Did it actually make a difference, or is it just a scam for the insecure? I know that Brooke Burke swears by the Taut, but is this just because she's the spokes person for them? I mean looking at her, I would say they work, but then again, her ex-husband is a famous plastic surgeon.

Round N' Round They Go

You would think by the end of the day our kids would be tired and ready for bed right? Wrong!! I think they are even crazier at night right before bed time. This running around the kitchen island thing is becoming a daily routine at our house.

In the past couple of months, the boys have become inseparable. Trevor is just amazed with everything Cody can do, and Cody finally realized he had someone to play with. Cody can barely stand it when it's time for Trevor's nap. Everyday he asks if "baby" is done with his nap. Even if he's not done sleeping, Cody takes it upon himself to wake Trevor up. And every night, Trevor has to say night night to Cody before he can go to bed. Cody stayed the night at Mimi and Papa's a couple weeks ago, and Trevor was heartbroken. He cried for Cody on the way home. It was very sweet.

I Heart Tina

Last week a couple of our friends got together to have a going away dinner for Tina....I heart Tina! We became such good friends this past year, and I'm so bummed she's leaving. Tina and I have that sort of friendship where we can look at each other and know what the other is thinking. I love Tina because what you see is what you get, what you hear is exactly what she's thinking and there's no BS. I love that about her! She has the best laugh and on top of everything, she's so much fun to be around. I'm going to miss that hot momma!!!

So normally I wouldn't post pictures of myself being 8 months pregnant, but I have to explain this picture. Our friend Stacey is a slurpee-aholic. She has one everyday, no joke. Anyway, she came to park day one time with the coolest straw ever and said she swears by these "slurpee" straws (they really say slurpee on them). They're metal and they make your drink really cold when it comes up the straw. Ok, so at dinner Tina whips out her slurpee straws from her purse, and I start cracking up because low and behold, I had mine too!!! Yes, Tina and I carry our slurpee straws with us at all times. p.s.-they're kind of hard to find :)

Thank you Tina for being such a great friend!

MMMMMM, Altoids

I always know when I'm getting to the end of my pregnancies because the Altoid cravings start to kick in! I love the texture after crunching it up. I eat a whole box in one sitting, and try to limit myself to 2 boxes a day. It's a good thing for Sams Club! I don't feel so guilty though b/c there is only 10 calories to a box with 0 grams of fat. Could be worse, I could be eating a tub of ice cream right?
The other thing is crushed ice with chocolate milk, but pretty much just the ice. I think my Dr told me with Trevor that ice cravings are due to low iron, so I guess I should get that checked out?

A New Tenant?????

Ok, so remember how someone tried to break into my moms? Well, turns out they weren't breaking in to steal anything, they were breaking in to live there!!!!!!!!! I just talked to our family friend who is a police officer and he said they have seen more and more transients living in vacant homes to try and get out of the heat.
Yesterday when I got the water bill, it said we had used 3000 more gallons this month! I'm like, no one lives there, how could we use that much water???! Then today, the front door was unlocked...Gregory will check doors 3-4 times before he leaves for the night (he's a bit paranoid). Also today, the air conditioning was on. It gets turned off every night. Plus we just put the boys bunk beds in their room, and.... eewww gross!!!!!!, someones been sleeping on my kids bed!, excuse my while I puke!!!!!

Yikes!

Gregory got to my moms house this morning and realized someone tried to break in! I hate that feeling! We don't know if they actually made it in or not, but the door to the kitchen was busted. I'm not exactly sure what some brave soul (we always keep the lights on inside and outside of the house) thought they were going to find, but there's nothing in there except some drywall, pipes, and some paint. Gregory had to go buy a new fiberglass door today, and I''m thinking about having Greg call one of his Dog friends and have them send us a dog we can keep at the house.

In other house news, the interior doors don't fit...huh, if it's not one thing, it will be another. I guess the casings on doors now are 4.5 inches. The casings at my moms house are 5.5 inches, which means the frames of the door don't fit. They have to rip all the drywall off and put up new drywall that's not so big. We'll be lucky if we can move in by the time our house goes up for auction on August 12th! I guess I should start thinking about packing soon, I just have no energy.
Then, Cody starts preschool August 10th (also mine and Gregory's 7 year wedding anniversary) and then Gregory starts school August 24th. Then, about 4 weeks after that, we're having another baby!!!! Hopefully by Christmas things will be semi-normal, and settled into a daily routine.

Our Slide Show

All About The Kiddos

Cody was born in Yuma, AZ on May 10, 2005. He was born at 2:54 on a Tuesday morning. He was 7lbs 2oz and was 19 inches long... I think back on it now, and all I really remember was being in pain for the whole day. I had a Drs appointment Monday morning and my Dr stripped my membranes. Yes, it's as painful as it sounds. After my appointment, Greg and I went and walked around Wal-Mart. Sounds funny, but it was the middle of summer in Yuma and Wal-mart was the only cool place to walk. I had been having little contractions here and there but nothing substantial. After walking, we went home and waited a while. Finally by 8 o'clock that night, I was ready. The hospital was 30 minutes away. Once I got into triage, I wasn’t dilated enough to be admitted so 2 more hours of harsh contractions walking around the hospital. I do remember Greg being a wonderful coach though. It seemed like the only thing that would help was to sway side to side. Im sure it probably looked like we were dancing. Finally around 11:30 they admitted me. I had my epidural and I was set. They called my Dr around 12. Too bad for me it took her 2 and a half hours to get there!!!! I always wondered what took her so long. I think I had to push maybe 5 times and there he was. My mom and Greg’s family made it just in time. They drove down from Phoenix just in time to see sweet Cody Boy. Cody was a colic baby which made for long nights and hard days. I think he was pretty much over that by the time he was 3 months. He has always been very expressive about what he likes and does not like. He makes it very clear when he wants or needs something. There is really no ignoring him, b/c he'll find a way to get what he wants. He is also very stubborn and hard-headed, but at the same time he is so cute, it's hard to be mad at him. Ever since he was a baby, he had to touch my hair in order to fall asleep. He still does that. He's a mama’s boy when it comes to cuddling, but he also has to get in his wrestle time with Daddy. Cody loves all animals and animals seem to love him (could be he always has some sort of food on him). He loves to play cars and trucks. I think he must have 100 hot wheels. My mom got him a spring horse that he loves to play on, especially when Gregory is watching Westerns. He gets his cowboy hat on and his play gun stuck in the back of his diaper and just goes to town being "Cowboy Cody." It’s so much fun just to watch him play and use his imagination. He is such a wonderful, free spirited little boy. He is also turning out to be an awesome big brother.

Just a quick tid bit...My best friend Kate and I found out were due a day apart last March. Her due date was November 19th and mine was the 20th. Well, Kate had baby girl Riley the same day I had Trevor! What are the odds right?

Trevor was born on Wednesday November 21, 2007 at 10:19 in the morning. He was a big boy at 8lbs 12oz and 21 inches long. I was induced with Trevor because there was no luck with stripping the membranes (twice) and I never had any contractions. I was supposed to go in early morning on the 19th, but the hospital was too full. So, I was put on a waiting list. Finally, around 11 at night on the 20th, I was called in. I had sent a text to Kate to let her know I was on my way to the hospital and her husband Cody text me back to let me know she was already there (we delivered at different hospitals). Once I got there, they gave me patocin to induce me and an epidural a little while later. It was great! The delivery part of it was nothing. I had to push maybe 3 times and he was born within minutes, healthy as could be. However, a little after he was born I started to feel nauseous. I ate some yogurt and sure enough it came right back up. I sat up in bed and saw white spots everywhere and heard ringing in my ears then blacked out. They took some blood work and it said I was anemic. I was having lots of blood clots coming out. The Dr ran in and started cleaning me out and pushing on my stomach and let me tell you it hurt like heck. I like to think I have a pretty high pain tolerance too (2 kids before this, 2 tattoos, and a couple of piercings with no complaints) but this sucked!!! I was shaking uncontrollably; I thought I was having a seizer. I guess I was going in and out of it, b/c I woke up later and Greg had put a rose on my chest. I remember waking up and asking him if he thought I died. It was probably one of the scariest times of my life (besides Greg leaving for Iraq). Im so glad my mom was there to explain to me in English all the Doctor lingo. I did get to go home for Thanksgiving with a beautiful, healthy baby boy. This was a big deal because I had some scares early on in my pregnancy. On the first ultrasound, we found out that my placenta was sitting way too low so it was squishing Trevor’s kidneys. They were way too small. That was terrifying for both Greg and me. After a couple more ultrasounds and a visit to a perinatologist (sounds serious right) we found out everything was fine. I couldn’t figure out what the big deal was for having small kidneys. I mean, there are two of them. Turns out after some research, it can be a sign of Down Syndrome. It was very scary!!!! We are so blessed that Trevor is healthy! Trevor is turning out to be an angel baby. He rarely cries and sleeps all through the night. He smiles all the time and loves to look at the color blue. He loves to watch Cody and always smiles when he gets to take a bath. Trevor just seems to love life. It is so much fun just to sit and cuddle him. He makes the cutest cooing sounds. I can’t wait to see more of his personality. It just goes by too fast. Greg and I are so blessed and we are reminded of that every time we see our beautiful boys.

Justin Gregory Tieman was born Friday September 18, 2009 at 9:11 in the morning. He weighed in at exactly 7 lbs and was 19.5 inches long. Everything in a time period of about 36 hours happened so quickly. I had my Dr’s appointment at 2 on Thursday and when I was there, he asked if I wanted the 12 am or 4 am spot to be induced. I took the 12 am spot. Gregory and I made it to the hospital around 12:30, checked in, and then went up to Labor and Delivery. I was given “the gel” around 2:15 am and by 2:20 I was already having small contractions. My nurse had me get up and walk the halls for about 40 minutes. I’m not sure what time I had my epidural? It was with the first nurse I had, so sometime between 3 and 6 am. I got a new nurse around 6:15 and she let me sleep for about 3 hours to get some rest. She came in 8:45-9:00 to check on me and see if I had dilated at all. To my surprise (and hers), I was fully dilated!!! I had slept through all of my contractions! It’s a good thing my Dr was just down stairs getting ready to come up and break my water. I felt so bad for him. I pretty much shot my baby out at him. I pushed 3 times (for about a minute) and he was out. They did have to use to vacuum on him because I already had some abrasions and was starting to bleed. Luckily I got all the medicine I needed and then some to help with the bleeding and everything went really well. I was able to leave the hospital the next day, feeling pretty good. Justin is only a couple of days old, but he is already such a blessing for our family. He is a wonderful baby and absolutely beautiful. Cody and Trevor can’t seem to get enough of him. They love getting to help feed Justin. They are such good big brothers! With Justin now here, I feel our family is complete. Gregory and I couldn’t be happier to have 3 wonderful boys in our lives!
