In The Spirit of Weddings

So with this wedding business in my head, I thought it would be fun to post some pictures of my own wedding. Look Brea, I made a collage! I have Photoshop and didn't even realize it...Blonde-o-licious!
My Gorgeous bridesmaids were Katie, who was maid of honor, Laura and LeAnne. We traded places when they got married. I was Matron of Honor in Kate's wedding, and a bridesmaid in LeAnne's and soon to be Matron of Honor in Laura's. I heart my best friends!

Bride-To-Be

I thought I would introduce everyone to Laura since Im sure a lot of posts will be about her in the up and coming months. Laura is getting married and has asked me to be Matron of Honor. She also asked my other two best friends to be bridesmaids as well. Im so excited because we get to spend a lot more time together when someone gets married.
She and her fiance Joe will be getting married in September/October in Scottsdale. We're all so excited!
This is the most recent picture I have of us. This was at a Cardinals game. That was the game we beat the Seahawks... my other favorite team.

Kentucky Please!

So it's no secret that Greg and I would love to live somewhere green with lots of land to have horses and whatever else came along. I randomly look at houses for sale in different states and today came across Simpsonville Kentucky. I thought, OOhhh, I love Jessica Simpson, so a place named Simpsonville must be great. It is!!! I want to move today!!!
I found this small farm that has 7 acres and possibly 10 more for a price. The house isn't that great, but very doable! You have to look at the pictures of the land. Its gorgeous!
Then I found one way out of our price range, more like a dream. If you have the time to look at these houses you should and then you'll know why I want to move to Simpsonville Kentucky. Oh, and if anyone would like to donate $500,000 toward our house funds, we would appreciate it.

The Week in a Nutshell

This week wasn't as busy as some, but I realized I didn't make one post all week. Monday I went and saw my good friend Laura to watch Deal or No Deal. She and her boyfriend, I mean FIANCE, were on the show Monday night, so her parents had a big Deal or No Deal party that was fun. I also got to see Kate and LeAnne which is always nice. Congrats to Laura and Joe. They got engaged in Napa Valley for Laura's birthday last weekend. She also asked me to be Matron of Honor and Im so excited.

Monday was also Trevor's 5 month birthday. He is a chunk of a boy! He offically has his 2 bottom teeth in and is eating baby food regularly. He can hold his bottle when he is laying down. He is very good at getting things in his mouth now which is really scary. He loves to naw on those teether biscuits, but I do take them away when he starts getting to end of them. Im too afraid he'll choke. He loves to sit up and see whats going on. That seat I bought has really been working out nicely. He loves that he can sit up in the bath now and splash is feet around. It's also fun to take it outside, so he can see whats going on out there too. Cody did try and run him over with his play lawn mower and was a little upset, but other than that he loves his seat. He is also starting to laugh. I love his laugh! Every time we sing Head, Shoulders, Knees and Toes, he laughs at the shoulder part b/c he is so ticklish. I know I say it all the time, but this little boy is my sweet angel baby.

On Wednesday, Laura and I went to visit Kate and Riley for a little while. Laura hasn't seen Kate's house since it's been remodeled, and it looks fabulous I might add. I had Cody and Trevor and Laura brought her baby Ella. Ella is the sweetest 2lb long haired Chihuahua I have ever met. An she is very patient. Cody decided that he really liked Ella. He was picking her up, dragging her all around on her leash and she put up with him the whole time. We heart Ella Bella. You can check out Laura's blog to see some pictures of Ella modeling some of her out fits.
And we're still working on potty training with Cody. I haven't been very strict about it, but he has to be potty trained for preschool. May 1st Cody will have his hearing and vision check for preschool. Then if he passes that, May 2nd will be the preschool evaluation. We're very excited and hopeful that this will help with his speech.

You know It's Getting Hot Out When...

Today was the usual outing day with my mom. We went and turned Cody's papers in for preschool, stopped at Joanns fabric store, went to lunch at Red Robin (they have the best hamburgers ever!), did some shopping at Old Navy and then since Cody was very good and patient all day, we took him to the park. All day he was saying mama park, mama park. We got there and of coarse there weren't any other kids there. He played a little bit, ran around with my moms glasses on (I don't think he can see a thing with them on) and then it happened... Cody asked if we could go home! OK, this kid lives to go to the park everyday. Usually I have to carry him to the car kicking and screaming 'No No'. You know it's getting hot outside when Cody wants to leave the park.

Useless Fact of the Day

Did you know that Dairy Queens famous vanilla soft serve is served at a temperature of 23 degrees. If it were served at 0 degrees, we wouldn't be able to taste it.

What A Weekend

Wow! This was a busy weekend. Friday my mom's church, Shepherd of the Valley, had it's 50th anniversary banquet at the the Phoenix Country Club. It was so much to dress up. I used my maid of honor dress that I wore in my best friends wedding. That was kind of exciting considering that was 2 years ago. A little tight from what I remember, but that's what happens after a couple of kids I suppose. So the banquet was a lot of fun and very classy. I even saw the pastor that baptised me when I was a baby.

Saturday started out with a trip to Babies R'Us Us. Dangerous Dangerous territory there. I love that store! Anywho, I ended up buying Trevor this 3 Stage Super Seat by Summer. I was looking at the Bumboo seats, but there were too many recalls and warning hazards, so I decided on this one. I love it! Trevor loves to sit up and this works out perfectly. I can even put it in the bath to bathe him b/c he grew out of his bath tub. The 2nd stage allows you to put this little playtime activity tray on it with all these cute, fun toys and stage 3 converts to a toddler booster seat. I love it! Well worth the money. Later that day, some of the ladies from Codys play group invited us to their wards BBQ. It was a lot of fun and even Greg went! I heart my park ladies. They have been so nice and sweet and Im so glad I was able to meet them.

Today was the big day at church. It was the actual 50th anniversary day. Of coarse I woke up 15 minutes before I was supposed to leave. I was able to get myself ready and Trevor, but Cody didn't make it. I ended up dropping him off at John and Keri's. He was still in his sweat pants with no shirt. Not exactly church attire. Trevor was so good during the 2 hour service. we ended up sitting in the balcony with my mom and at the very end of the service, the choir was singing, the organ was playing, the bells were ringing, and Trevor was sleeping. I couldn't believe it. Today was also uncle Nathans 23rd birthday, so after church we went over there for spaghetti and ice cream cake. Afterwards, Cody got to squirt Nathan with his new water gun that he is very proud of. I also discovered that Trevor's 1st tooth came in!!! YaY! For some reason I was so excited about it. It's the bottom right.

Warning! May Be Hazzardous To Your Appetite

Hhhhuuuuuhhhh...Where to start? First of all, if you have a weak stomach, you may not want to read this. Yesterday started out as any normal day. Get up, get dressed, change diapers, fix breakfast. Cody had play group at the park and that was great. After that, we went over to Keri's house b/c my mom was getting her hair done. Trevor spit up on me pretty good a couple of times, that's normal. Hot, wet, stinky old spoiled milk. I can handle that just fine. After my mom was done getting her hair done we went to Target. Trevor was taking a nap, so he stayed at Keri's. Cody came with us. Even the Target trip was normal. Cody running around like a little wild indian, trying to drive the handicap scooters, grabbing all the necklaces and putting them on his head, running up and down the isles saying Hi to everyone he sees, pretending to shoot at the imaginary monsters. After Target we went to eat dinner at Casa Carmens. Its a great Mexican food restaurant that has wonderful food, the best salsa, and nice people. Not the nicest part of town, but if you're in the mood for mexican it's a great place to go. Lucky for us, the restaurant was empty. We got our food in, no joke, 5 minutes after we ordered. After Cody was done he was playing in one of the booths a couple rows from us. Half way through our dinner Cody comes back to our table with runny, brown-green diarrhea dripping down his leg and says 'mom, pooped'. I immediately grabbed him and ran to the bathroom. I didn't have any extra diapers or wipes b/c I really wasn't planning on him coming with us. Once in the bathroom I see that there's puddles in his shoes. I take his shoes off and put them to the side. I take his shorts off and his diaper is falling down. I even had to wrap his diaper in paper towels b/c I was so afraid that it might be some sort of weapon of mass destruction. There is diarrhea all up and down his legs, all over his feet... All over everywhere!!! Including the bathroom floor. Luckily there was some Comet cleaner in the bathroom, so I could clean up the floors a bit. I worked in Daycare for 3 years, and never have I seen a diaper this gross, this stinky, this disgusting EVER! It was horrible!!!! I don't know how I cleaned him up without regurgitating my food. It was a good thing my mom had bought him an outfit when we were at Target. Oh to the glorious and glamorous joys of being a mom.
Always an adventure with the Tiemans!
(Note to self: Potty train Cody immediately!!)

Trevor Baby

Trevor is at that stage right now where he loves to look at everything, anything he can pick up goes in his mouth, and he is realizing he would much rather be held than be put down. He is also in the early stages of rolling over.

He loves to look at his feet. He also likes to try and get them in his mouth

Trying to roll over

Arizona Science Center

Friday, my mom and I took Cody to the Arizona Science Center to see the Dinosaur exhibit they have. But first we went put to lunch. I think we learned our lesson with Cody after he got us kicked out of 5 n Diner. He must eat first to be happy. Duh! You would think after working in daycare for 4 years, I would have learned that lesson a long time ago. Blonde-O-licious!

This is Cody at lunch sporting my glasses

Cody would not look at the camera even if I would have bribed him to.

Cody digging up Dinosaur bones

Cody was very concerned that this dinosaur was getting an ouwee. The picture might be a little hard to see, but it's being attacked by raptors

The Science Center is such a cool place for kids. The Center contains four levels with more than 300 exciting hands-on exhibits, a state-of-the-art planetarium and a five-story high IMAX® theater. Some of the places Cody like were the Fab Lab, All About You, Many Hands Make A Home, and Music Landing

Mommy's Little Hunks

I love this picture of Cody. I said 'say cheese' and this is the face he made.

Our Slide Show

All About The Kiddos

Cody was born in Yuma, AZ on May 10, 2005. He was born at 2:54 on a Tuesday morning. He was 7lbs 2oz and was 19 inches long... I think back on it now, and all I really remember was being in pain for the whole day. I had a Drs appointment Monday morning and my Dr stripped my membranes. Yes, it's as painful as it sounds. After my appointment, Greg and I went and walked around Wal-Mart. Sounds funny, but it was the middle of summer in Yuma and Wal-mart was the only cool place to walk. I had been having little contractions here and there but nothing substantial. After walking, we went home and waited a while. Finally by 8 o'clock that night, I was ready. The hospital was 30 minutes away. Once I got into triage, I wasn’t dilated enough to be admitted so 2 more hours of harsh contractions walking around the hospital. I do remember Greg being a wonderful coach though. It seemed like the only thing that would help was to sway side to side. Im sure it probably looked like we were dancing. Finally around 11:30 they admitted me. I had my epidural and I was set. They called my Dr around 12. Too bad for me it took her 2 and a half hours to get there!!!! I always wondered what took her so long. I think I had to push maybe 5 times and there he was. My mom and Greg’s family made it just in time. They drove down from Phoenix just in time to see sweet Cody Boy. Cody was a colic baby which made for long nights and hard days. I think he was pretty much over that by the time he was 3 months. He has always been very expressive about what he likes and does not like. He makes it very clear when he wants or needs something. There is really no ignoring him, b/c he'll find a way to get what he wants. He is also very stubborn and hard-headed, but at the same time he is so cute, it's hard to be mad at him. Ever since he was a baby, he had to touch my hair in order to fall asleep. He still does that. He's a mama’s boy when it comes to cuddling, but he also has to get in his wrestle time with Daddy. Cody loves all animals and animals seem to love him (could be he always has some sort of food on him). He loves to play cars and trucks. I think he must have 100 hot wheels. My mom got him a spring horse that he loves to play on, especially when Gregory is watching Westerns. He gets his cowboy hat on and his play gun stuck in the back of his diaper and just goes to town being "Cowboy Cody." It’s so much fun just to watch him play and use his imagination. He is such a wonderful, free spirited little boy. He is also turning out to be an awesome big brother.

Just a quick tid bit...My best friend Kate and I found out were due a day apart last March. Her due date was November 19th and mine was the 20th. Well, Kate had baby girl Riley the same day I had Trevor! What are the odds right?

Trevor was born on Wednesday November 21, 2007 at 10:19 in the morning. He was a big boy at 8lbs 12oz and 21 inches long. I was induced with Trevor because there was no luck with stripping the membranes (twice) and I never had any contractions. I was supposed to go in early morning on the 19th, but the hospital was too full. So, I was put on a waiting list. Finally, around 11 at night on the 20th, I was called in. I had sent a text to Kate to let her know I was on my way to the hospital and her husband Cody text me back to let me know she was already there (we delivered at different hospitals). Once I got there, they gave me patocin to induce me and an epidural a little while later. It was great! The delivery part of it was nothing. I had to push maybe 3 times and he was born within minutes, healthy as could be. However, a little after he was born I started to feel nauseous. I ate some yogurt and sure enough it came right back up. I sat up in bed and saw white spots everywhere and heard ringing in my ears then blacked out. They took some blood work and it said I was anemic. I was having lots of blood clots coming out. The Dr ran in and started cleaning me out and pushing on my stomach and let me tell you it hurt like heck. I like to think I have a pretty high pain tolerance too (2 kids before this, 2 tattoos, and a couple of piercings with no complaints) but this sucked!!! I was shaking uncontrollably; I thought I was having a seizer. I guess I was going in and out of it, b/c I woke up later and Greg had put a rose on my chest. I remember waking up and asking him if he thought I died. It was probably one of the scariest times of my life (besides Greg leaving for Iraq). Im so glad my mom was there to explain to me in English all the Doctor lingo. I did get to go home for Thanksgiving with a beautiful, healthy baby boy. This was a big deal because I had some scares early on in my pregnancy. On the first ultrasound, we found out that my placenta was sitting way too low so it was squishing Trevor’s kidneys. They were way too small. That was terrifying for both Greg and me. After a couple more ultrasounds and a visit to a perinatologist (sounds serious right) we found out everything was fine. I couldn’t figure out what the big deal was for having small kidneys. I mean, there are two of them. Turns out after some research, it can be a sign of Down Syndrome. It was very scary!!!! We are so blessed that Trevor is healthy! Trevor is turning out to be an angel baby. He rarely cries and sleeps all through the night. He smiles all the time and loves to look at the color blue. He loves to watch Cody and always smiles when he gets to take a bath. Trevor just seems to love life. It is so much fun just to sit and cuddle him. He makes the cutest cooing sounds. I can’t wait to see more of his personality. It just goes by too fast. Greg and I are so blessed and we are reminded of that every time we see our beautiful boys.

Justin Gregory Tieman was born Friday September 18, 2009 at 9:11 in the morning. He weighed in at exactly 7 lbs and was 19.5 inches long. Everything in a time period of about 36 hours happened so quickly. I had my Dr’s appointment at 2 on Thursday and when I was there, he asked if I wanted the 12 am or 4 am spot to be induced. I took the 12 am spot. Gregory and I made it to the hospital around 12:30, checked in, and then went up to Labor and Delivery. I was given “the gel” around 2:15 am and by 2:20 I was already having small contractions. My nurse had me get up and walk the halls for about 40 minutes. I’m not sure what time I had my epidural? It was with the first nurse I had, so sometime between 3 and 6 am. I got a new nurse around 6:15 and she let me sleep for about 3 hours to get some rest. She came in 8:45-9:00 to check on me and see if I had dilated at all. To my surprise (and hers), I was fully dilated!!! I had slept through all of my contractions! It’s a good thing my Dr was just down stairs getting ready to come up and break my water. I felt so bad for him. I pretty much shot my baby out at him. I pushed 3 times (for about a minute) and he was out. They did have to use to vacuum on him because I already had some abrasions and was starting to bleed. Luckily I got all the medicine I needed and then some to help with the bleeding and everything went really well. I was able to leave the hospital the next day, feeling pretty good. Justin is only a couple of days old, but he is already such a blessing for our family. He is a wonderful baby and absolutely beautiful. Cody and Trevor can’t seem to get enough of him. They love getting to help feed Justin. They are such good big brothers! With Justin now here, I feel our family is complete. Gregory and I couldn’t be happier to have 3 wonderful boys in our lives!
