Round 2

Today we had the tree removed that died and another one put in its place, same type of tree. The one that we have had for 2 weeks now is starting to get some yellow leaves, so Greg was asking the guy what was wrong with it. He said we were giving it too much water! I never knew you could kill a tree with too much water. I guess our ground is pretty much clay and absorbs everything. Good to know...now

Here is a picture of the good bye party for the Bangarts. This is also blog worthy news... There were 28 kids there. It's a good thing Jenny has a huge house :) Let me know if anyone wants a copy. I'll email it to ya.

It's Memorial Day

Im sure everyone knows that today is Memorial Day. Most people get so excited because that means lots of great of sales at the stores, but for others like Greg it's a day to remember friends he lost in the war. Its also very important to remember that our country is free because we have very brave men and women to keep it that way. It's very true what they say, 'Freedom Isn't Free'. Thank you to The Few, The Proud who have made the ultimate sacrifice for our country with their lives. Semper Fidelis!!!!!

Can You Believe This Weather?!

I thought last week when it rained, it would never rain again. It did, it did! Yesterday was soooo nice outside. It was a cool 70 degrees out here, with some sprinkles here and there, enough to get the streets wet. We even had to get the sweaters out at the Godowns lastnight. Right now its 1:20 and it's 63 degrees out...in the end of May. But never fear, it should be back in the 100's by Wednesday. Enjoy it while it lasts.

Some People Are Stupid

Everyone that knows us, knows that we love our Pitbulls. Yesterday we took Tank and Red to the park to play on the spring pole. The spring pole is a garage spring with a big rope attached to it for the dogs to play on. It's really good exercise for them too. Its pretty much so they can play tug-a-war by themselves. Anyway, yesterday someone called the sheriffs because they said we were fighting dogs at the park. Doesn't it take 2 dogs to get into a fight? There was only one dog on there at a time. Some people are so ignorant and stupid. If you cant tell, I hate people who are prejudice against pitbulls b/c all they hear about is stuff in the media, and even then, more than half the time its not even a real Pit. I really get my hackles up in cases like this. At least the sheriff was really nice about it...some people... Here is a picture of Tank in Yuma playing on his spring pole. Its his favorite toy.

Trevors 6 Months Today!

My babies are growing so fast...I guess Cody isn't really considered a baby anymore though huh? Excuse me while I shed a tear.
Trevor baby is 6 months old today. I know I say time flies every time, but it really does, so fast! Trevor has his two bottom teeth in for now. He is sitting up on his own and holding his own bottles. He reaches for anything in front of him and if he gets a hold of it, it goes straight into his mouth. He loves food! I think his favorite are bananas, although he did eat a french fry today and loved it. He tries so hard to drink from my glasses and water bottles too. He is still very vocal. Its so cute! Every time I look at him, I have to smile because he is so dang cute. Rachel and I tried weighing him today and our heavy weight came in at 21 lbs, 4 oz. I still don't know how long he is though. He has his 6 month appointment at the Dr in early June. He is definitely scared of strangers. He cries every time he meets someone new, much different from Cody. Cody will roll down the car window with his toe just to say 'Hi' to the car next to us at a stop light. Here are some pictures I just took. (Greg keeps our house freezing, so that's why he is in long sleeves). We love our Trevor baby!

Attack Of The Chicken

Unfortunately one of our trees that we just had planted last Friday decided to die on us. So we went back to the nursery today to pick out a new one. While I was picking out the tree, Cody and Greg went to go look for the baby chicks. Well, you know at plant nurseries they have rows and rows for trees. Cody got through one row chasing the chickens and Greg had to go around. By time Greg had got around, Cody had went went through 3 rows and found the baby chicks. To bad for the him, the mama chicken found him. Greg said he could hear Cody saying Daddy help, help. By the time Greg found him the mama chicken was going to town pecking away on Cody. By the time I was done, Greg and Cody came walking up and Cody had mud all over him with little peck marks on him and Greg was cracking up. I guess I missed it all. Poor Cody :)

UFC Anyone?

Greg and I are HUGE UFC fans! It all started about 5 years ago in Yuma when I discovered I should have been born a dude...Not really, but I love the UFC,4 wheeling, and football, which was our life in Yuma. It was the best. Anyway I was thinking about having a UFC party this Saturday. Actually, I have to be honest and say I have an ulterior motive...force Greg to become friends with my friends husbands...Is that bad or what?!

Is That Considered Cheating?

Is it considered cheating if I have another true love besides my husband? Isn't it beautiful? Im in love! But you know whats funny? The trim of the beauty is a 3LT...My lucky number (also my bday) and my initials. I think it was meant to be.

You Are Not Telling The Truth

You are not telling the truth,A.K.A, Are you kidding me?!
Greg and I went and got gas last night for his truck before we went on our date. He has this big diesel truck to fill up. I am not even joking, 1 gallon cost us $4.50!!!!!!! 1 gallon!!! When Greg and I first got married, almost 6 years ago, gas was $1. It took me $10 to fill my civic up to drive to Yuma every weekend, no joke. Cars were first seen in the United States in the early 1900's and the price of gas was about 10 cents. Can someone please explain to me why it took 100 years for gas to go up $1, and now it has only been 6 years and it has gone up $3.50? I am literally confused! What's the conspiracy you ask? I have know clue!

Ladies Night

Yesterday was our ladies night out. So fun! Most of their husbands had the annual father-sons outing with the church, so most of them left early Friday morning. Last night we all met at Westgate. We ended up eating at Jimmy Buffets Margaritaville. I dont think any of us had ever been there before. The atmosphere was a lot of fun. Very much a beachy, tiki, kind of place;however, the food was lacking...nothing special. After dinner, we walked around and looked in some shops. Then ended up at Cold Stone Creamery for some great conversation. It's so nice having friends that are in the same boat as me...married with children! Its great having so many things in common...more than I thought...LOL! You guys are the best! We definitely need a once a month Ladies Night. Here are some pictures of our adventures.

A Little Late, I Know

So for Mothers Day Greg and I went and bought trees. One for each kiddo. They were finally delivered and planted yesterday. I am so excited about these trees! Our backyard was in need of some shade. We decided on the Evergreen (Shamel) Ash trees. They are supposed to grow 6 ft a year and are green all year long...unless it gets really cold. Then it will drop its leaves for about 2 months just to protect itself from the winter. Here is our before picture.

Here is the after...much better

I Love Cody...Or Is It Bob?

LOL, Ok this is really my fault, but funny. A couple days ago I was asking Cody what his name was. This was our conversation.

Me: Is your name Cody?
Cody: UUmmm, Nope
Me: Is your name Bob?
Cody: Nope...wait! Yup, Bob
Me: Your name is Bob?
Cody:Uh Hu... Bob

So a couple days after the Bob incident I decided to ask him again what his name is, thinking he would have forgot about it. Sure enough, he says his name is Bob. That little turkey!

And now ever since his birthday all he wants to eat is cake.

ME: Cody, what would you like for breakfast?
Cody: UUMMM, Cake!
Me: Cody, would you like a sandwich for lunch?
Cody: No, just cake.
Me:hhhhhuuuuuuhhhhhh

Another thing...

Me: Cody, how old are you?
Cody: (holding up 5 fingers) Tree!

Oh, the silly things kids say. That's why I love my little Cody...or is it Bob?

Another Beautiful Day in AZ

Today we woke up and it was sooooo nice outside. Great temperature, big fluffy white clouds, so we decided to go for a hike at the White Tanks. Here is Trevor and me.

Trevor was a bit tired after our long hike. He had to work so hard :)

Then, much to our excitement after we got home it started raining!!! This is a huge deal. It's May and its raining in AZ wooo-hooo. We took the opportunity to play outside for bit, since we probably wont have any sight of rain again until monsoon season.

Creative Cody

Yesterday Cody had so much fun cutting, gluing, sponging and painting. He made some very beautiful artwork. Maybe he'll take after his dad and be an artist? Here is the big 3 year old (still trying to get used to that part) making his master piece.

Happy Birthday Cody!!!

Today is Cody's 3rd birthday. How times flies! We love our Cody boy. Wednesday he had a little birthday at the park with all of his friends. I made cupcakes and brownies. They were very good too if I do say so myself.
Cody's friend Connor got him some bubbles. The pictures below are of the kids chasing the bubbles

Then on Thursday I took the boys to Kiddie Kandids and got their pictures done. The photographer was not good at all, but at least my kids are still cute!

Then today for his actual birthday we ordered pizza and hot wings and had really good cake. There goes the 8 pounds that I've lost over the past 2 weeks.

For Cody's birthday, Greg's sister Rachel made this awesome picture/video DVD of Cody's first year. It was so amazing!!!! Greg actually had to leave the room b/c he got teary eyed watching it. Thank you Rachel!!!! It was the best present ever. We love you! I get teary eyed now just thinking about it. It's amazing what joy and love kids bring to our lives. Not a day goes by that I don't thank God for our little miracles. We love you Cody! Happy Birthday big boy.

P.S- No more diapers for Cody. We were so brave last night and even took him to Sams club in undies. He is doing great with potty training. Oh, I guess he still wears diapers at night though.

Cody's Been Tagged...Twice

Cody has been tagged by 2 of his friends...You lucky guy!

These are just some of the reason why we LOVE our Cody boy.

1. The kids got SPUNK...which is slang for a quality of a person that describes having courage, spirit, or determination.

2. Cody is an amazing big brother. The first thing he does when he wakes up is check on Trevor in his crib. He also lets me know when Trevor is pooped and needs a bottle. He loves his little brother.

3. Cody has a way with animals. All animals seem to love Cody, and he loves them all back. Maybe he'll take after Grandma Cristy and a be Veterinarian.

4. Cody is thoughtful. Everytime he gets himself a drink, he gets me one as well without me even having to ask. So sweet!

5. Cody is fun. Actually he is really, really, really fun. He always keeps me on my toes and makes me laugh all the time with the silly things he is doing

6. Cody makes me want to be a better person. I believe that this is a very important quality to have. I want to be the best person and the best mom possible for my boys. For instance, if we are driving and a rude driver cuts in front of me, I might think about cursing, but if Cody's in the car, hopefully the rude drive just gets a gosh darn it.

7. Cody gives the best hugs and kisses. He can brighten up anyones day just with a hug and a big lip kiss.

Blonde-O-licious

So a couple people have asked about Blonde-O-licious. If you have ever seen the Blue Collar Comedy Tour, Bill Engvall does a bit called "Here's your sign". Blonde-O-licious is just the Lindsey version. And if you have no clue about Blue Collar, Blonde-O-licious is just another word for DUH, but with a little bit of glitter added to it. Oh, I should also explain that I think glitter can make anything pretty. I really need a shirt with my catch phrase on it...In pink glitter

We Heart the Park

Cody and I have play group every Wednesday at the park. Notice I said Cody and I? Cody loves to play with all the other kids and it's great for the moms too! I have made some great friends at play group. Too bad it's getting hot again. We might have to invade Peter Piper Pizza every Wednesday instead of the park. Here are some cute pictures I took of Cody and some friends this past park day.

Our Slide Show

All About The Kiddos

Cody was born in Yuma, AZ on May 10, 2005. He was born at 2:54 on a Tuesday morning. He was 7lbs 2oz and was 19 inches long... I think back on it now, and all I really remember was being in pain for the whole day. I had a Drs appointment Monday morning and my Dr stripped my membranes. Yes, it's as painful as it sounds. After my appointment, Greg and I went and walked around Wal-Mart. Sounds funny, but it was the middle of summer in Yuma and Wal-mart was the only cool place to walk. I had been having little contractions here and there but nothing substantial. After walking, we went home and waited a while. Finally by 8 o'clock that night, I was ready. The hospital was 30 minutes away. Once I got into triage, I wasn’t dilated enough to be admitted so 2 more hours of harsh contractions walking around the hospital. I do remember Greg being a wonderful coach though. It seemed like the only thing that would help was to sway side to side. Im sure it probably looked like we were dancing. Finally around 11:30 they admitted me. I had my epidural and I was set. They called my Dr around 12. Too bad for me it took her 2 and a half hours to get there!!!! I always wondered what took her so long. I think I had to push maybe 5 times and there he was. My mom and Greg’s family made it just in time. They drove down from Phoenix just in time to see sweet Cody Boy. Cody was a colic baby which made for long nights and hard days. I think he was pretty much over that by the time he was 3 months. He has always been very expressive about what he likes and does not like. He makes it very clear when he wants or needs something. There is really no ignoring him, b/c he'll find a way to get what he wants. He is also very stubborn and hard-headed, but at the same time he is so cute, it's hard to be mad at him. Ever since he was a baby, he had to touch my hair in order to fall asleep. He still does that. He's a mama’s boy when it comes to cuddling, but he also has to get in his wrestle time with Daddy. Cody loves all animals and animals seem to love him (could be he always has some sort of food on him). He loves to play cars and trucks. I think he must have 100 hot wheels. My mom got him a spring horse that he loves to play on, especially when Gregory is watching Westerns. He gets his cowboy hat on and his play gun stuck in the back of his diaper and just goes to town being "Cowboy Cody." It’s so much fun just to watch him play and use his imagination. He is such a wonderful, free spirited little boy. He is also turning out to be an awesome big brother.

Just a quick tid bit...My best friend Kate and I found out were due a day apart last March. Her due date was November 19th and mine was the 20th. Well, Kate had baby girl Riley the same day I had Trevor! What are the odds right?

Trevor was born on Wednesday November 21, 2007 at 10:19 in the morning. He was a big boy at 8lbs 12oz and 21 inches long. I was induced with Trevor because there was no luck with stripping the membranes (twice) and I never had any contractions. I was supposed to go in early morning on the 19th, but the hospital was too full. So, I was put on a waiting list. Finally, around 11 at night on the 20th, I was called in. I had sent a text to Kate to let her know I was on my way to the hospital and her husband Cody text me back to let me know she was already there (we delivered at different hospitals). Once I got there, they gave me patocin to induce me and an epidural a little while later. It was great! The delivery part of it was nothing. I had to push maybe 3 times and he was born within minutes, healthy as could be. However, a little after he was born I started to feel nauseous. I ate some yogurt and sure enough it came right back up. I sat up in bed and saw white spots everywhere and heard ringing in my ears then blacked out. They took some blood work and it said I was anemic. I was having lots of blood clots coming out. The Dr ran in and started cleaning me out and pushing on my stomach and let me tell you it hurt like heck. I like to think I have a pretty high pain tolerance too (2 kids before this, 2 tattoos, and a couple of piercings with no complaints) but this sucked!!! I was shaking uncontrollably; I thought I was having a seizer. I guess I was going in and out of it, b/c I woke up later and Greg had put a rose on my chest. I remember waking up and asking him if he thought I died. It was probably one of the scariest times of my life (besides Greg leaving for Iraq). Im so glad my mom was there to explain to me in English all the Doctor lingo. I did get to go home for Thanksgiving with a beautiful, healthy baby boy. This was a big deal because I had some scares early on in my pregnancy. On the first ultrasound, we found out that my placenta was sitting way too low so it was squishing Trevor’s kidneys. They were way too small. That was terrifying for both Greg and me. After a couple more ultrasounds and a visit to a perinatologist (sounds serious right) we found out everything was fine. I couldn’t figure out what the big deal was for having small kidneys. I mean, there are two of them. Turns out after some research, it can be a sign of Down Syndrome. It was very scary!!!! We are so blessed that Trevor is healthy! Trevor is turning out to be an angel baby. He rarely cries and sleeps all through the night. He smiles all the time and loves to look at the color blue. He loves to watch Cody and always smiles when he gets to take a bath. Trevor just seems to love life. It is so much fun just to sit and cuddle him. He makes the cutest cooing sounds. I can’t wait to see more of his personality. It just goes by too fast. Greg and I are so blessed and we are reminded of that every time we see our beautiful boys.

Justin Gregory Tieman was born Friday September 18, 2009 at 9:11 in the morning. He weighed in at exactly 7 lbs and was 19.5 inches long. Everything in a time period of about 36 hours happened so quickly. I had my Dr’s appointment at 2 on Thursday and when I was there, he asked if I wanted the 12 am or 4 am spot to be induced. I took the 12 am spot. Gregory and I made it to the hospital around 12:30, checked in, and then went up to Labor and Delivery. I was given “the gel” around 2:15 am and by 2:20 I was already having small contractions. My nurse had me get up and walk the halls for about 40 minutes. I’m not sure what time I had my epidural? It was with the first nurse I had, so sometime between 3 and 6 am. I got a new nurse around 6:15 and she let me sleep for about 3 hours to get some rest. She came in 8:45-9:00 to check on me and see if I had dilated at all. To my surprise (and hers), I was fully dilated!!! I had slept through all of my contractions! It’s a good thing my Dr was just down stairs getting ready to come up and break my water. I felt so bad for him. I pretty much shot my baby out at him. I pushed 3 times (for about a minute) and he was out. They did have to use to vacuum on him because I already had some abrasions and was starting to bleed. Luckily I got all the medicine I needed and then some to help with the bleeding and everything went really well. I was able to leave the hospital the next day, feeling pretty good. Justin is only a couple of days old, but he is already such a blessing for our family. He is a wonderful baby and absolutely beautiful. Cody and Trevor can’t seem to get enough of him. They love getting to help feed Justin. They are such good big brothers! With Justin now here, I feel our family is complete. Gregory and I couldn’t be happier to have 3 wonderful boys in our lives!
