Most people that know me know that I cant stand socks. I like to have them, but I don't like to wear them so much. I don't like to have my feet confined, which is kind of crazy because I used to have a serious fear of people looking at my feet...really bad dream in 8th grade, long story. Anyway, I very rarely put socks on Cody and I think Trevor has only had them on once or twice when he was little. Well, Keri and I were at Target on Monday and they had these really cute Halloween socks for kids...This was Trevor's thought on the socks...
If you can't tell by the picture, he was trying to find the fastest way to get them off.

What Have We Been Up To?
I can't believe I haven't made one single post since last Friday! I guess there really hasn't been anything interesting going on to post about...except Greg is starting school on Monday at ASU!!! I'm so excited for him. He is doing this program through the VA that helps Veterans get back in the swing of things for school. He will do that for a couple of months, see how the school thing is going, then make some decisions. If he does ok with school, he would like to start at ASU full time in January working on a bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering. If he decides that he really doesn't want to go back to school, then he would like to try this program up at NAU for Park Ranger Training. I'm just excited that he has options and he gets paid to go to school! Thank goodness...and right in time for Christmas too :)
Tuesday Greg was at out ASU and Cody was at preschool, so it was just me and Trev...I decided that I was going to move Trevor into Cody's room and move all the toys into Trevor's room. So far it has been wonderful!!!!!! There are no toys in the 'sleeping room' and the playroom actually stays clean. I love it! I thought for sure that Cody would keep Trevor up or vise versa, but they have been so good about sleeping in the same room. And the even better thing is, is that we have preschool at our house next week, so all the toys will be contained to one room.
Wednesday we didn't have any play group planned, so I went over to Jeanne's house and helped her with her blogs'...at least I hope I helped :) She has her family blog http://www.5gallachers.blogspot.com/ and then we started one for her interior decorating. It's not done yet, but everyone should keep checking back for great decorating tips and tricks.

The Hunger Games
I know everyone (except our husbands:) is super bummed about the end of Twilight. I was on Stephenie's website the other day and she actually recommends this book called 'The Hunger Games' by Suzanne Collins. She said she couldn't put it down, it was so good. Just thought some might like to know. Have a great weekend!

It's About That Time...
After seeing how fat I actually am in the wedding pictures, it's really about that time that I start doing something about it. Ok, I know what some of you are thinking, and I don't want any excuses about having 3 kids in 9 years. I am actually (was) a tiny person (not height obviously) and it's time I get back my 'model' body..oh, those were the days. This picture is my inspiration. I need to lose 30 lbs!

Here Comes The Bride!
I don't think there are really any words to describe how beautiful the wedding was, so I will have to think about that and start from the beginning.
It was an early morning...And I'm not exactly a morning person. I like my 10 hours of sleep, but I think I did ok on 5. Laura's gift to us was having our hair and make up done. It was so much fun! We had to be to the salon by 8:30, and of coarse living out by Luke Air Force, I have to leave an hour before to get anywhere on time, but I was. I even had time for a Starbucks stop. When we all got to the salon, they had breakfast waiting for us which was so nice of Laura's hair people! There was quiche, little cinnamon rolls, lots of fruit, coffee, orange juice, cider. They really went all out for us. We had our hair and make up done and left the salon around 1:30. When we arrived at Silverleaf, it was time to get dressed and start taking some pictures. The background for pictures was amazing! It was at the clubhouse and it was like a little Tuscan village. It is made out of real stone and dirt, and they have all these amazing arches, and fountains, and vines. It was absolutely beautiful! We don't really have a shy group and we had so much fun taking pictures. It was so fun trying to take the 'serious' pictures because Katy would start cracking up and then everyone was done for. I think we did end up getting some though. The wedding started at 5 and was short and sweet... my favorite! It was a gorgeous ceremony and Laura did so well. I was so proud of her. I thought for sure she would be crying the whole time. Joe is a Captain in the Army, so they got to walk through the swordsmen at the end. I loved it! I had never seen it before. Some of Joe's groomsmen are in the military as well and it was fun to see some of them all dressed in their military blues. It kind of made me miss military life... but not so much:) After the wedding, Laura and Joe went to go take their pictures, so the bridal party got to mingle with all the guest. We were able to take some fun friends and family pictures...Like I said before, we're not a shy bunch.
The reception was so much fun! I was so glad Greg was there with me! Probably the funniest I've had in a long time. The reception hall looked like something out of a wedding magazine. She picked out these really pretty light green table cloths and had red/gold accents for the draperies and the flowers, oh my gosh, the flowers were out of this world. The center pieces were made up of really bright different pinks and orange roses, yellow calalillie's, green hydrangeas. They were so beautiful! And sure enough the time came for my speech. I don't know why I was so nervous? I'm really not one to be shy or get embarrassed, but I was really nervous about this. Joe's best man Brett, also one of his brothers, was nice enough to go first so I could get my barrings. I must have done ok though, because I made Laura cry... and I cried too. But then again, Laura and I can just look at each other and start crying :) Love you Laura! All of my wonderful, amazing friends were nice enough to cheer me on. Thank you guys! And Greg and I met a lot of great people. We met one of Laura's friends Francesca and she and I bonded instantly, and even Greg and her boyfriend Phil got along so well. I was so excited. We even plan on hanging out in the future. I also became very good friends with the other two bridesmaids. Laura's cousin Lindsey...(I have to get off subject real fast. Ok, Lindsey and I obviously have the same name, we have the silver Altima and we showed up on the wedding day wearing the same outfit... crazy huh?!) I also became friends with Brittany. Brittany's husband is in the military as well and they were such fun people. I think anytime you have the military thing in common, there is a instant connection with people. I will definitely try and keep in touch with both of them. All in all, the day was amazing, Laura looked absolutely gorgeous, and a good time was had by everyone. Thank you Laura and Joe!!!!!!!!!!!!
I took all of these amazing pictures and the slide show turns them around, so I will try and post a lot here.

Twilight Party
After the rehearsal dinner, I went to the Twilight Party at Natalie's. I was so impressed with the turn out of ladies. There was probably about 30 there! I missed the first two hours, but made up for it and stayed for two. It might not have been the smartest thing on my part because I had to get up early for the wedding, but I did ok. Natalie did a great job with all the decorations. She had white Christmas lights up with red draperies and a black and white table setting...very Twilight and Alice would be proud :) The food looked really yummy, but I was pretty full from dinner so I didn't sample any. It was a lot of fun seeing everyone all dressed up!

Rehearsal/Dinner
Laura's rehearsal was a lot of fun! Silverleaf is absolutely gorgeous! We did two walk throughs of the wedding to make sure everyone knew what they were doing for the next day, then it was off to dinner at Tommy Bahamas. I love occasions like this because I get to spend time with my life long friends who I love to death. And Greg was on his best behavior. I was very proud of him. He usually has issues being in large groups of people, but he did very well. If you have never been to Tommy Bahamas before I would highly recommend it. The atmosphere has this really fun tropical/Jamaican feel to it and the food was so good! Laura and Joe did and excellent job picking the perfect restaurant for their dinner. It was very fitting because the first time they met, they were in Hawaii.

All About The Kiddos
Just a quick tid bit...My best friend Kate and I found out were due a day apart last March. Her due date was November 19th and mine was the 20th. Well, Kate had baby girl Riley the same day I had Trevor! What are the odds right?
Trevor was born on Wednesday November 21, 2007 at 10:19 in the morning. He was a big boy at 8lbs 12oz and 21 inches long. I was induced with Trevor because there was no luck with stripping the membranes (twice) and I never had any contractions. I was supposed to go in early morning on the 19th, but the hospital was too full. So, I was put on a waiting list. Finally, around 11 at night on the 20th, I was called in. I had sent a text to Kate to let her know I was on my way to the hospital and her husband Cody text me back to let me know she was already there (we delivered at different hospitals). Once I got there, they gave me patocin to induce me and an epidural a little while later. It was great! The delivery part of it was nothing. I had to push maybe 3 times and he was born within minutes, healthy as could be. However, a little after he was born I started to feel nauseous. I ate some yogurt and sure enough it came right back up. I sat up in bed and saw white spots everywhere and heard ringing in my ears then blacked out. They took some blood work and it said I was anemic. I was having lots of blood clots coming out. The Dr ran in and started cleaning me out and pushing on my stomach and let me tell you it hurt like heck. I like to think I have a pretty high pain tolerance too (2 kids before this, 2 tattoos, and a couple of piercings with no complaints) but this sucked!!! I was shaking uncontrollably; I thought I was having a seizer. I guess I was going in and out of it, b/c I woke up later and Greg had put a rose on my chest. I remember waking up and asking him if he thought I died. It was probably one of the scariest times of my life (besides Greg leaving for Iraq). Im so glad my mom was there to explain to me in English all the Doctor lingo. I did get to go home for Thanksgiving with a beautiful, healthy baby boy. This was a big deal because I had some scares early on in my pregnancy. On the first ultrasound, we found out that my placenta was sitting way too low so it was squishing Trevor’s kidneys. They were way too small. That was terrifying for both Greg and me. After a couple more ultrasounds and a visit to a perinatologist (sounds serious right) we found out everything was fine. I couldn’t figure out what the big deal was for having small kidneys. I mean, there are two of them. Turns out after some research, it can be a sign of Down Syndrome. It was very scary!!!! We are so blessed that Trevor is healthy! Trevor is turning out to be an angel baby. He rarely cries and sleeps all through the night. He smiles all the time and loves to look at the color blue. He loves to watch Cody and always smiles when he gets to take a bath. Trevor just seems to love life. It is so much fun just to sit and cuddle him. He makes the cutest cooing sounds. I can’t wait to see more of his personality. It just goes by too fast. Greg and I are so blessed and we are reminded of that every time we see our beautiful boys.
Justin Gregory Tieman was born Friday September 18, 2009 at 9:11 in the morning. He weighed in at exactly 7 lbs and was 19.5 inches long. Everything in a time period of about 36 hours happened so quickly. I had my Dr’s appointment at 2 on Thursday and when I was there, he asked if I wanted the 12 am or 4 am spot to be induced. I took the 12 am spot. Gregory and I made it to the hospital around 12:30, checked in, and then went up to Labor and Delivery. I was given “the gel” around 2:15 am and by 2:20 I was already having small contractions. My nurse had me get up and walk the halls for about 40 minutes. I’m not sure what time I had my epidural? It was with the first nurse I had, so sometime between 3 and 6 am. I got a new nurse around 6:15 and she let me sleep for about 3 hours to get some rest. She came in 8:45-9:00 to check on me and see if I had dilated at all. To my surprise (and hers), I was fully dilated!!! I had slept through all of my contractions! It’s a good thing my Dr was just down stairs getting ready to come up and break my water. I felt so bad for him. I pretty much shot my baby out at him. I pushed 3 times (for about a minute) and he was out. They did have to use to vacuum on him because I already had some abrasions and was starting to bleed. Luckily I got all the medicine I needed and then some to help with the bleeding and everything went really well. I was able to leave the hospital the next day, feeling pretty good. Justin is only a couple of days old, but he is already such a blessing for our family. He is a wonderful baby and absolutely beautiful. Cody and Trevor can’t seem to get enough of him. They love getting to help feed Justin. They are such good big brothers! With Justin now here, I feel our family is complete. Gregory and I couldn’t be happier to have 3 wonderful boys in our lives!
