Going Private

I just wanted to let everyone know that I've decided to make our blog private. If you would still like access to our blog, please leave you email address in the comments, and if you're not comfortable showing everyone your address, you can email it to me at tieman03@cox.net. I'm not exactly sure when the big switch will happen, but sometime after the New Year. I've been so bad about updating it lately, but I promise in 2009 to add our Christmas pictures :) Thanks to everyone that got our sitemeter up to over 4,500 hits, and almost 9,000 page views just in the past 11 months! I know for myself that we can't be that interesting, but thanks for the huge ego boost, LOL :) Have a safe and Happy New Year everyone and I'll see you back here in 2009!!!!!

Glendale Glitters

Glendale Glitters-It really does! We ended up going with our friends, The Quirozs' tonight. Cody was so happy to see Caden again! That's two nights in a row! (Greg and I went to their ward Christmas party last night). I have lived in the Valley my whole life and have never been to Glendale Glitters. There were so many people there! I don't know what my problem was, but I could not take a good picture for the life of me.

Cody had to pet the horses for a good 5 minutes.

Ok Meghan, I didn't realize you were sticking your finger in my ear. I laughed when I saw this picture.
I swear, Cody and Caden had more fun playing with this tree and running around than they did looking at the lights. What ever works, right?
Meghan and Me-Notice Greg is the background reading the paper.
Trevor was so happy to get out and stretch his legs. He was all over the place!
Notice Cody's bruise on his head (how could you not) It's not as impressive as it was 5 days ago though! Oh, and the two black eyes. I swear, we don't beat our children! Although, he does look homeless in this picture. It was like 45 degrees out and I promise we had a jacket for him, but he would not put it on.

New Moon Director Announced

Summit Films is moving forward with a new director for New Moon. They've asked Chris Weitz, director of American Pie, About a Boy, and The Golden Compass. I saw American Pie back in the day, and it was a pretty funny movie. I've never seen 'About A Boy', but Stephenie Meyer herself said it's one of her all time favorite movies. As for 'The Golden Compass'...I saw the movie and I liked it. I know there was a lot of controversy surrounding this movie, but the directing for it was good. In a letter to all the fans Chris writes: "For the last decade of my career as a director, I have chosen to make adaptations of complex and involved works of literature. This has always begun with the love of a book and its characters, story and theme; and it has always involved a respect of and responsiveness to the feelings of other people who loved those books."
I think he has a great point of view going into this and will do an amazing job with New Moon!

Has anyone heard that Taylor Lautner may loose his role as Jacob? Summit executives have expressed dissatisfaction with the casting of Jacob and are rumored to be looking for a new actor. They said his baby face look might not be able to carry the role of a lead love interest in the movie. But Taylors agents are not giving up easily and are said to be in talks with the people who made 'The Curious Case of Benjamin Button" movie. I guess they are thinking about giving him some digitally enhanced height and muscles. I dont know if they have enough money for all of those enhancments? :)

Trevor Walks

Trevor has been walking for a while now, and I have been so bad about posting any video. Maybe it's because I have to face the fact that my baby really isn't a baby anymore.

Trevor tries his hardest to keep up with Cody. He loves all the same toys that Cody does, he wants to be outside when Cody is, and he really wants to be able to ride Cody's tricycle. I'm afraid Greg and I might have to get them all the same Christmas presents this year, just so there is no fighting :)

Nothing Like AZ Sunsets!

Yesterday I looked out the window, and everything was red. I went outside, and this was the beautiful sunset I saw.

Birthday Festivities Continued

Since Greg and I didn't make it up to Parks, I was able to go out with my friends all weekend. On Saturday Jeanne, Tine, Jacy, Meghan, and I went to Westgate for dinner. We ended up eating at Bar Louie. I love that restaurant. Our waitress wasn't all there in the head, but the food was great.

After dinner Jeanne, Tina, Jacy and I decided that dinner wasn't enough, so we went to Bj's Restaurant for dessert. Thanks for the great time girls!

Then on Saturday Laura, Kate, and LeAnne treated me to lunch at The Vig, which by the way is my new favorite place. We ended up staying there almost 4 hours. I guess time flies when your having fun. Here is a picture of us playing Bot chi ball (I dont know if I spelled that right?). I can't wait to go back for Kate's birthday in a week:) Notice Laura and LeAnne looking adorable being pregnant. We're adding 2 more boys to the bunch this spring!
Thank you to everyone that made my birthday week so fun...and paid for all the dinner I ate!:)

Enrichment

On Thursday, Meghan invited me to Enrichment. It was that night that Jacy and I figured out what we both want for Christmas... We were lucky enough to hold Gingers twin baby girls. They were so sweet and cuddly and it made me want to start all over again.

My Birthday Rocked!!!

Thanks to everyone that made my birthday so special! I had such a great day! Thank you Mom for taking me shopping. You spent way too much money on me! Thank you to everyone for all the text messages throughout the day, and for my singing telegram last night. I loved it! And specially to my favorite person EVER! Gregory! I love you so much. Gregory took me to go see Twilight again last night at Westgate for our date. Before the movie started, we had fun playing in Quicksilver and trying on all the beanies and hats. I felt like I was 16 again being so goofy. I love you all!!!

My love!
I LOVE this picture of us! Westgate has this HUGE Christmas tree and lights everywhere!
Gregory being silly
I think they brought snow just for my birthday! How did they know? :)

A Special Thanks

Tomorrow I will be 26 years old! I think I have had a pretty good 26 years on this earth and it's because of the special people in my life. This will probably be pretty cheesy, but I just want everyone to know how much I love them. I'll try and make this short and sweet.

Greg:You are my rock, my best friend, my other half. You have helped me become the person that I have always wanted to be. You know me better than anyone in the world, and you still love me for me. What more could I ask? You are my everything and I love you more than what seems humanly possible.

My Boys: Sounds funny, but without my kids I would go completely insane. Everyday I want to be a better person because of the 2 of you. You are my fresh breath of air, my heaven on earth, that makes my life absolutely wonderful. I love that you make me laugh every single day. Without the 2 of you, my life would not be complete. I love you!!!

Mom: You have to be the smartest, most caring and kind person I have ever met in life. I have learned so much from you and I can only hope that I can be as good of a mom to the boys as you were to me. If I could pass on just an ounce of the things you have taught me to my boys, they should turn out just fine. I don't know what I would do without you. Thanks for not letting me quit the violin.

Keri: Your compassion and service for others absolutely amazes me. You have always been there for me over the past 10 years, giving me great advice and setting a great example of what a wife and a mother should be. I think of you more as a best friend rather than my mother in law.

Rachel: I love that we share the same compassion for animals. I love that I can say the dumbest things around you and you always laugh. I love that you are brave enough to drive with me, even when I'm distracted with smelling my hair.

Dad: I love that you always wanted to teach me something. You taught me how to play, what seemed to be, every single sport there is. You taught me the value of money. If I wanted something, I had to work for it. I didn't appreciate it then, but I do now!

Sis: You are probably one of the strongest people I know. You have been through so much in your life and I hope that someday I will be as strong as you are. There is a lot I can learn from you. I'm so glad we have reconnnected because it feels great to have you in my life again.

Oldies But Goodies: Kate, LeAnne, and Laura- Oh my gosh, this is going to make me feel old. I have known LeAnne for 21 years, Laura for 18 years and Kate for 16...WOW! I really think the person you become when you get older has to do with the friends you make when your younger. And I don't want to toot my own horn or anything, but I have some pretty awesome friends! You have always supported me and being with you feels like being home, like comfort.

The Newbies: The friends that I have made over the past 2 years are all amazing women. I love just hanging out and being able to talk to people that I have so much in comman with. You are all such great wives, mothers and friends. I love how much you value your faith and families. I am very lucky that I have gotten to know all of you.

Jellooooooooooo Anyone?

Yesterday while I was catching up with the daily blogosphere, Cody decided he wanted some jello. And just to clarify, I don't mean he wanted to eat jello, I mean he wanted to play with the jello and splatter it all over my kitchen...and the dogs. Poor Cassidy looked like a candy cane for a bit. Lets just say I was a little less than thrilled about cleaning up red jello for 45 minutes.

Pee Pee in The Pot-tay!

Here are the pictures of Trevor on the potty. I'm sure he'll love me for this someday :) This is his very first time going number 1 and 2 in the potty!

Just to clarify: I dont want to miss lead anyone into thinking that I'm this amazing mother who potty trained a 1 year old. No-No, this was a one time deal...for now :)

Our Slide Show

All About The Kiddos

Cody was born in Yuma, AZ on May 10, 2005. He was born at 2:54 on a Tuesday morning. He was 7lbs 2oz and was 19 inches long... I think back on it now, and all I really remember was being in pain for the whole day. I had a Drs appointment Monday morning and my Dr stripped my membranes. Yes, it's as painful as it sounds. After my appointment, Greg and I went and walked around Wal-Mart. Sounds funny, but it was the middle of summer in Yuma and Wal-mart was the only cool place to walk. I had been having little contractions here and there but nothing substantial. After walking, we went home and waited a while. Finally by 8 o'clock that night, I was ready. The hospital was 30 minutes away. Once I got into triage, I wasn’t dilated enough to be admitted so 2 more hours of harsh contractions walking around the hospital. I do remember Greg being a wonderful coach though. It seemed like the only thing that would help was to sway side to side. Im sure it probably looked like we were dancing. Finally around 11:30 they admitted me. I had my epidural and I was set. They called my Dr around 12. Too bad for me it took her 2 and a half hours to get there!!!! I always wondered what took her so long. I think I had to push maybe 5 times and there he was. My mom and Greg’s family made it just in time. They drove down from Phoenix just in time to see sweet Cody Boy. Cody was a colic baby which made for long nights and hard days. I think he was pretty much over that by the time he was 3 months. He has always been very expressive about what he likes and does not like. He makes it very clear when he wants or needs something. There is really no ignoring him, b/c he'll find a way to get what he wants. He is also very stubborn and hard-headed, but at the same time he is so cute, it's hard to be mad at him. Ever since he was a baby, he had to touch my hair in order to fall asleep. He still does that. He's a mama’s boy when it comes to cuddling, but he also has to get in his wrestle time with Daddy. Cody loves all animals and animals seem to love him (could be he always has some sort of food on him). He loves to play cars and trucks. I think he must have 100 hot wheels. My mom got him a spring horse that he loves to play on, especially when Gregory is watching Westerns. He gets his cowboy hat on and his play gun stuck in the back of his diaper and just goes to town being "Cowboy Cody." It’s so much fun just to watch him play and use his imagination. He is such a wonderful, free spirited little boy. He is also turning out to be an awesome big brother.

Just a quick tid bit...My best friend Kate and I found out were due a day apart last March. Her due date was November 19th and mine was the 20th. Well, Kate had baby girl Riley the same day I had Trevor! What are the odds right?

Trevor was born on Wednesday November 21, 2007 at 10:19 in the morning. He was a big boy at 8lbs 12oz and 21 inches long. I was induced with Trevor because there was no luck with stripping the membranes (twice) and I never had any contractions. I was supposed to go in early morning on the 19th, but the hospital was too full. So, I was put on a waiting list. Finally, around 11 at night on the 20th, I was called in. I had sent a text to Kate to let her know I was on my way to the hospital and her husband Cody text me back to let me know she was already there (we delivered at different hospitals). Once I got there, they gave me patocin to induce me and an epidural a little while later. It was great! The delivery part of it was nothing. I had to push maybe 3 times and he was born within minutes, healthy as could be. However, a little after he was born I started to feel nauseous. I ate some yogurt and sure enough it came right back up. I sat up in bed and saw white spots everywhere and heard ringing in my ears then blacked out. They took some blood work and it said I was anemic. I was having lots of blood clots coming out. The Dr ran in and started cleaning me out and pushing on my stomach and let me tell you it hurt like heck. I like to think I have a pretty high pain tolerance too (2 kids before this, 2 tattoos, and a couple of piercings with no complaints) but this sucked!!! I was shaking uncontrollably; I thought I was having a seizer. I guess I was going in and out of it, b/c I woke up later and Greg had put a rose on my chest. I remember waking up and asking him if he thought I died. It was probably one of the scariest times of my life (besides Greg leaving for Iraq). Im so glad my mom was there to explain to me in English all the Doctor lingo. I did get to go home for Thanksgiving with a beautiful, healthy baby boy. This was a big deal because I had some scares early on in my pregnancy. On the first ultrasound, we found out that my placenta was sitting way too low so it was squishing Trevor’s kidneys. They were way too small. That was terrifying for both Greg and me. After a couple more ultrasounds and a visit to a perinatologist (sounds serious right) we found out everything was fine. I couldn’t figure out what the big deal was for having small kidneys. I mean, there are two of them. Turns out after some research, it can be a sign of Down Syndrome. It was very scary!!!! We are so blessed that Trevor is healthy! Trevor is turning out to be an angel baby. He rarely cries and sleeps all through the night. He smiles all the time and loves to look at the color blue. He loves to watch Cody and always smiles when he gets to take a bath. Trevor just seems to love life. It is so much fun just to sit and cuddle him. He makes the cutest cooing sounds. I can’t wait to see more of his personality. It just goes by too fast. Greg and I are so blessed and we are reminded of that every time we see our beautiful boys.

Justin Gregory Tieman was born Friday September 18, 2009 at 9:11 in the morning. He weighed in at exactly 7 lbs and was 19.5 inches long. Everything in a time period of about 36 hours happened so quickly. I had my Dr’s appointment at 2 on Thursday and when I was there, he asked if I wanted the 12 am or 4 am spot to be induced. I took the 12 am spot. Gregory and I made it to the hospital around 12:30, checked in, and then went up to Labor and Delivery. I was given “the gel” around 2:15 am and by 2:20 I was already having small contractions. My nurse had me get up and walk the halls for about 40 minutes. I’m not sure what time I had my epidural? It was with the first nurse I had, so sometime between 3 and 6 am. I got a new nurse around 6:15 and she let me sleep for about 3 hours to get some rest. She came in 8:45-9:00 to check on me and see if I had dilated at all. To my surprise (and hers), I was fully dilated!!! I had slept through all of my contractions! It’s a good thing my Dr was just down stairs getting ready to come up and break my water. I felt so bad for him. I pretty much shot my baby out at him. I pushed 3 times (for about a minute) and he was out. They did have to use to vacuum on him because I already had some abrasions and was starting to bleed. Luckily I got all the medicine I needed and then some to help with the bleeding and everything went really well. I was able to leave the hospital the next day, feeling pretty good. Justin is only a couple of days old, but he is already such a blessing for our family. He is a wonderful baby and absolutely beautiful. Cody and Trevor can’t seem to get enough of him. They love getting to help feed Justin. They are such good big brothers! With Justin now here, I feel our family is complete. Gregory and I couldn’t be happier to have 3 wonderful boys in our lives!
