Bad Dog

I guess "bad dog" is something I say a lot of in our house. The other day Trevor was sitting on the floor trying to eat a piece of paper and I asked Cody to take it from him. Cody walks over to Trevor and shakes his finger at him and says "No No Trevor, bad dog". Then, last night we were jumping on the trampoline and I guess I jumped Cody too high. He was a little mad at me and said "No mommy, bad dog".

Are You Ready?!

With 1 day and counting, we are meeting at Jeanne's house tonight at 8 if anyone wants to come make Twilight shirts with us, and yes, there will be pictures to follow this post. We have to show off how creative we are right?:) Saturday is the book release and we will be in line for 2 hours.
And then Saturday night is Laura's Bridal Shower Soiree, and you will definitelty want to see those pictures. Tune in next Monday for a glipse of the weekend.

Hailey & Cody

Keri and I took Hailey and Cody to Arrowhead today. I had to get a couple of presents and when we were walking around we walked passed Kiddie Kandids. Last time we were there, I was not happy with the photographer at all, so I really hadn't planned on going back. But when we were walking by one of the ladies said we could come in and get a free 5x7, and of coarse we couldn't say no to a free picture. So I ended up telling the lady that was helping us that I had a bad experience with the last photographer and wasn't planning on coming back and she said I wasn't the only that has had complaints, so I felt a little better. Anyway, this was our free picture. Cody actually listened to this one and I think she did a good job.

Top 5

I have been such a hermit for the past couple of days that I have nothing interesting to blog about, so I decided to list my top 5 perfume picks (and every time I look at my blog, I see FIRE and cringe)

#1-Curve- It's my signature scent and my favorite!
#2-Miss Dior Cherie-Very classy-Goes great with my Tiffanys jewelry or pearls
#3-Pink by Victoria's Secret-every time I wear this, people want to know what it is.
#4-Ralph by Ralph Lauren-Cool and calming
#5-Coolwater-fresh and clean, great for summer.

So sorry for the dumb post... I promise to do something interesting in the future!

OMG-7 days to go until Breaking Dawn comes out!!!!!!!YAY!!!!!!! Can you tell I'm soooooooo excited?!?! So I guess it's kind of an unofficial girls night out. Everyone is meeting at Barnes and Noble at 10 to get in line for the book, and just so you know, they are having a prom themed party, so be prepared to be surrounded by people in prom dresses...A good idea is to go to Barnes and Noble before next Friday to reserve a copy of the book just to be sure you get one. I know that this coming Monday Stephenie Meyer is releasing something from the book on EW.com, but it's not supposed to be a spoiler or anything like that...Darn, but right now, I'll take what I can get. I've been going through Edward withdraw, just like everyone else I know. WOO-HOO for 7 days and counting!!!

FIRE!!!!!

This morning when I woke up, there was a funny smell in the kitchen, almost like gas. I thought maybe it was my crock pot or something and didn't think twice about it. Greg left to go run some errands, Laura and I took the kids to Luke Air Force base and then came home. A little while after Greg and I had been home for a bit our cable went out which in normal and I was on the phone waiting to talk to someone from Cox, and then all of a sudden there was a burning smell and something popped, almost like a gun shot and I went into the kitchen and one of the electrical outlets had caught on fire under Greg's fish tank!!!!! I was like 'oh crap there's a fire'! Luckily we caught it right when it started and Greg was able to unplug it. I cant even imagine if it had happened 2 hours earlier and we were not at home. We would have a burnt down house and 2 dead dogs. My mind is still going crazy with all the 'what ifs'. Thank God we were here to put it out!!!!!!!! My hands are still shaking and our house stinks. At least we still have a house!

Brand New Twilight Movie Trailer

If you go to Stephenie Meyers website (listed under my links) it has the Yahoo version that is much better than the ET exclusive. It's still a good one though!!!!

Memory Lane

Here are the directions:

1. As a comment on my blog, leave one memory that you and I had together. It doesn’t matter if you know me a little or a lot, anything you remember!

2. Next, post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. It’s actually pretty funny to see the responses. If you leave a memory about me, I’ll assume you’re playing the game and I’ll come to your blog and leave one about you. If you don’t want to play on your blog, or if you don’t have a blog, I’ll leave my memory of you in my comments. So let’s have it! Don’t be shy! What do you remember? Anything funny, embarrassing, silly…

What Have The Tiemans Been Up To?

First, I ended up buying Cody the Toy Story movie. It was a bad idea, at least for me. It's the only movie he wants to watch now. I think I have the whole movie memorized. Then, on Sunday Greg and I went to Walmart and got a trampoline. It has been so much fun for Cody to jump and get some energy out (much better than watching a movie all day). The first thing I hear in the morning is Cody saying "jump, jump". He likes it when I jump too. I can't believe how tired and out of breath I get just from jumping. Cody is almost a little jumping Nazi though. He always tells me, "jump, jump, again, again". He would make a good personal trainer.

Then... Greg and I decided that we needed to do something to motivate us to work out. Going to gym has not worked in the past for us. Cody screams when he has to go to the child watch and they end up coming to get me about 20 minutes into my workout. Then we would try and take turns going, but it just takes twice as long. So we decided to get a home workout center. It's in our garage b/c it's huge! And it gets pretty hot in the garage, so that's actually a good thing for losing weight. It has every workout that we need, plus, the more you sweat, the fat you lose. So between jumping with Cody, working out, taking care of Trevor, I'm trying to finish up The Host. All in a days work.

Girls Night

Thank you Sarah for hosting our Girls Night! It was so much fun...GREAT food, fun conversations and interesting talents. (Sarah, can you email me the recipe for that chicken stroganoff? tieman03@cox.net)

Me and Brea...Brea, you have the best smile ever and you are always so sweet

Fun conversations

Me and Jeanne...Jeanne, you were my first friend I met after moving to Litchfield. You are such an amazing person, and I love just sitting and talking with you

TJ teaching the hula (far right)...TJ, I have a video of this that is so funny, but since I love you I won't post it b/c I know you would be embarrassed

Me and Meghan...Meghan, I have loved to getting to know. You make me laugh all the time and we have so much in common. I'm glad I'm not the only Twilight obsessed person!

I have a feeling our next unofficial Girls Night will be August 1st...late night so we can stand in line at Barnes and Noble. I'm so excited!

Friday Fun Day

Today my mom and I took the boys to the Children's Museum of Phoenix <-(click on link for info). I would definitely give it 4 out of 5 stars, and I say 4 because it's not completely done yet. When all the exhibits are done in late 2008, it for sure will be a 5 star place for the family. Cody had so much fun!!!! But I think his favorite thing of all was the lite up plexiglass sand box. They have exhibits for all age levels. I liked that they had baby stuff integrated with the older kid things. It made keeping an eye on Cody a lot easier. Cody also really liked the Pit Stop with a real motorcycle and race car. It also had wooden race cars with the track overhead. It was fun to watch. I went to go change Trevor's diaper in the bathroom and this like girl comes in with her mom and says 'mom, this is the best place ever! thanks for taking me here'. It was really cute. After 2 hours at the museum, we braved the neighborhood of downtown Phoenix and went to Carolina's Mexican restaurant. It's like one of those neighborhoods you don't dare go to after dark, but the food was soooooo good. It was almost like having mexican food in Yuma again. (Yuma has the best meat markets with the best carne asada and pollo asada) Both the boys fell asleep on the way home to my moms house, slept another half hour to our house and Cody even slept another hour in bed. After he woke up, he got to take the dogs to the park with his dad. I'd say we had a good Friday...and yes, I did buy the E.T Weekly mag. Obsessed I tell you!!!

Friday

I was just looking at Stephenie Meyers website and found out that Twilight made the Entertainment Weekly cover. It has Stephenie's first interview about Breaking Dawn, but no spoilers so don't worry. It comes out this Friday...Just thought some peeps might be interested.

I know this is a Budweiser commercial, but I saw it today and it literally made me cry. Oh, and you need the volume on for the full affect.

Even though Greg's been home safe for almost 5 years now, things like this still make me tear up. I'm such a sap!

Eclipse

I swear this will be my last post about the Twilight Saga...At least until Breaking Dawn comes out August 2nd :) And yes, my background is a tribute to Twilight...Note the black, white and red.
So, I was really trying to pace myself on this one, but it didn't work so well. It did take me longer than the others...5 days. I was trying to stretch it out for the whole month, but that never happened. I was up til 12 and sometimes 1 every night reading. I don't know about everyone else, but I'm starting to freak out that Bella is going to choose Jacob!!!!! AAAAHHHHHH<- That's me screaming because I will be so mad if that happens! I just want to flick the silly girl in her forehead and say 'what the heck are you thinking, WAKE UP' Seriously, that will be a sad, sad day for me if that happens. She will pick Edward right? I need some reassurance here!

Growing Boys

Every time I blink, the boys look bigger. Trevor is eating lots of solid food now. Cody loves having his brother at the table with him.

Trevor's first spaghetti

I love my Cody boy!!!

What a mess! What was I thinking?!

Cody wanted to make sure Trevor finished his dinner

Good News, Bad News

Good news is Greg's application for a Law Enforcement Trainee with the Forest Service was accepted and was referred to the selecting official. They pick 3 applications out of everyone who applied so this was a big deal. If the selecting official likes Greg's application, he will be called for an interview. Bad news, I guess, is that the job is in Big Fork, Montana. Greg is dying to get out of AZ, so it's not bad news for him. He has always wanted to live in MT. Anyway, we're trying not to get our hopes up. There is another job with the Forest Service in Flagstaff that he has a really good chance of getting too, so at least we have our options.

Midnight Sun

I finished New Moon yesterday morning...I didn't like it as much as Twilight though (for obvious reasons:), but it was still really good. I read them back to back so it really just seemed like one book. I started Eclipse last night and finished about 70 pages. I am trying to pace myself on this one seeing that Breaking Dawn isn't out until August 2nd. There is no way I'll be able to wait that long. I'm almost contemplating starting The Host rather than finish Eclipse. I was so excited today when I went to http://www.StephenieMeyer.com/ , the author, and saw that she was starting to write 'Midnight Sun'. It's Edwards version of Twilight and she posted the first chapter!!!!!!!!!!! I loved that it was Edwards point of view, because lets face it, everybody loves Edward and he is a lot more interesting!!!! My mom is so funny...she just got back from Europe and saw people wearing 'Team Edward' shirts over there (she thought it was for Prince Edward :) I was telling her how huge Twilight is and that it's a worldwide best seller. I think before we go see the movie, we should All make 'Team Edward' shirts :) I know Meghans with me! I bet Scott is too:)

P.S. I loved that she named it Midnight Sun, considering that midnight sun and twilight are the same thing, hence the Bella and Edward versions...LOVE IT!!!!

Our Slide Show

All About The Kiddos

Cody was born in Yuma, AZ on May 10, 2005. He was born at 2:54 on a Tuesday morning. He was 7lbs 2oz and was 19 inches long... I think back on it now, and all I really remember was being in pain for the whole day. I had a Drs appointment Monday morning and my Dr stripped my membranes. Yes, it's as painful as it sounds. After my appointment, Greg and I went and walked around Wal-Mart. Sounds funny, but it was the middle of summer in Yuma and Wal-mart was the only cool place to walk. I had been having little contractions here and there but nothing substantial. After walking, we went home and waited a while. Finally by 8 o'clock that night, I was ready. The hospital was 30 minutes away. Once I got into triage, I wasn’t dilated enough to be admitted so 2 more hours of harsh contractions walking around the hospital. I do remember Greg being a wonderful coach though. It seemed like the only thing that would help was to sway side to side. Im sure it probably looked like we were dancing. Finally around 11:30 they admitted me. I had my epidural and I was set. They called my Dr around 12. Too bad for me it took her 2 and a half hours to get there!!!! I always wondered what took her so long. I think I had to push maybe 5 times and there he was. My mom and Greg’s family made it just in time. They drove down from Phoenix just in time to see sweet Cody Boy. Cody was a colic baby which made for long nights and hard days. I think he was pretty much over that by the time he was 3 months. He has always been very expressive about what he likes and does not like. He makes it very clear when he wants or needs something. There is really no ignoring him, b/c he'll find a way to get what he wants. He is also very stubborn and hard-headed, but at the same time he is so cute, it's hard to be mad at him. Ever since he was a baby, he had to touch my hair in order to fall asleep. He still does that. He's a mama’s boy when it comes to cuddling, but he also has to get in his wrestle time with Daddy. Cody loves all animals and animals seem to love him (could be he always has some sort of food on him). He loves to play cars and trucks. I think he must have 100 hot wheels. My mom got him a spring horse that he loves to play on, especially when Gregory is watching Westerns. He gets his cowboy hat on and his play gun stuck in the back of his diaper and just goes to town being "Cowboy Cody." It’s so much fun just to watch him play and use his imagination. He is such a wonderful, free spirited little boy. He is also turning out to be an awesome big brother.

Just a quick tid bit...My best friend Kate and I found out were due a day apart last March. Her due date was November 19th and mine was the 20th. Well, Kate had baby girl Riley the same day I had Trevor! What are the odds right?

Trevor was born on Wednesday November 21, 2007 at 10:19 in the morning. He was a big boy at 8lbs 12oz and 21 inches long. I was induced with Trevor because there was no luck with stripping the membranes (twice) and I never had any contractions. I was supposed to go in early morning on the 19th, but the hospital was too full. So, I was put on a waiting list. Finally, around 11 at night on the 20th, I was called in. I had sent a text to Kate to let her know I was on my way to the hospital and her husband Cody text me back to let me know she was already there (we delivered at different hospitals). Once I got there, they gave me patocin to induce me and an epidural a little while later. It was great! The delivery part of it was nothing. I had to push maybe 3 times and he was born within minutes, healthy as could be. However, a little after he was born I started to feel nauseous. I ate some yogurt and sure enough it came right back up. I sat up in bed and saw white spots everywhere and heard ringing in my ears then blacked out. They took some blood work and it said I was anemic. I was having lots of blood clots coming out. The Dr ran in and started cleaning me out and pushing on my stomach and let me tell you it hurt like heck. I like to think I have a pretty high pain tolerance too (2 kids before this, 2 tattoos, and a couple of piercings with no complaints) but this sucked!!! I was shaking uncontrollably; I thought I was having a seizer. I guess I was going in and out of it, b/c I woke up later and Greg had put a rose on my chest. I remember waking up and asking him if he thought I died. It was probably one of the scariest times of my life (besides Greg leaving for Iraq). Im so glad my mom was there to explain to me in English all the Doctor lingo. I did get to go home for Thanksgiving with a beautiful, healthy baby boy. This was a big deal because I had some scares early on in my pregnancy. On the first ultrasound, we found out that my placenta was sitting way too low so it was squishing Trevor’s kidneys. They were way too small. That was terrifying for both Greg and me. After a couple more ultrasounds and a visit to a perinatologist (sounds serious right) we found out everything was fine. I couldn’t figure out what the big deal was for having small kidneys. I mean, there are two of them. Turns out after some research, it can be a sign of Down Syndrome. It was very scary!!!! We are so blessed that Trevor is healthy! Trevor is turning out to be an angel baby. He rarely cries and sleeps all through the night. He smiles all the time and loves to look at the color blue. He loves to watch Cody and always smiles when he gets to take a bath. Trevor just seems to love life. It is so much fun just to sit and cuddle him. He makes the cutest cooing sounds. I can’t wait to see more of his personality. It just goes by too fast. Greg and I are so blessed and we are reminded of that every time we see our beautiful boys.

Justin Gregory Tieman was born Friday September 18, 2009 at 9:11 in the morning. He weighed in at exactly 7 lbs and was 19.5 inches long. Everything in a time period of about 36 hours happened so quickly. I had my Dr’s appointment at 2 on Thursday and when I was there, he asked if I wanted the 12 am or 4 am spot to be induced. I took the 12 am spot. Gregory and I made it to the hospital around 12:30, checked in, and then went up to Labor and Delivery. I was given “the gel” around 2:15 am and by 2:20 I was already having small contractions. My nurse had me get up and walk the halls for about 40 minutes. I’m not sure what time I had my epidural? It was with the first nurse I had, so sometime between 3 and 6 am. I got a new nurse around 6:15 and she let me sleep for about 3 hours to get some rest. She came in 8:45-9:00 to check on me and see if I had dilated at all. To my surprise (and hers), I was fully dilated!!! I had slept through all of my contractions! It’s a good thing my Dr was just down stairs getting ready to come up and break my water. I felt so bad for him. I pretty much shot my baby out at him. I pushed 3 times (for about a minute) and he was out. They did have to use to vacuum on him because I already had some abrasions and was starting to bleed. Luckily I got all the medicine I needed and then some to help with the bleeding and everything went really well. I was able to leave the hospital the next day, feeling pretty good. Justin is only a couple of days old, but he is already such a blessing for our family. He is a wonderful baby and absolutely beautiful. Cody and Trevor can’t seem to get enough of him. They love getting to help feed Justin. They are such good big brothers! With Justin now here, I feel our family is complete. Gregory and I couldn’t be happier to have 3 wonderful boys in our lives!
