Warning For Dreaming Summit Residents!

This is a serious matter!
Greg and I just got done talking to a neighbor that lives 4 houses down from us. This morning at 4 o' clock, a man tried to enter his teenage daughters room through the window. The man successfully had the screen door off within 3 minutes. The girl thankfully heard him and went and got her dad. By the time her dad got there, the man was coming in through the window (which had been locked). The dad had his gun ready and fired a warning shot about 3 inches from the mans head. He called the sheriffs, they came out and said there has been a huge increase in crimes in Dreaming Summit and are not sure why. Please, Please be aware of your surroundings and report anything that you think is suspicious! The man that was trying to break in was definitely after his daughter. They have another window that is a couple inches away from hers that they leave cracked for the cat to come in and out and yet, he still chose hers. Last week there was a man sitting in his car, just sitting there, a couple houses away from our neighbors. Greg told me he saw the guy and I just thought he was waiting to look at some of the houses that are for sale (there are 2 between us and our neighbor for sale). But the next day I was coming home and saw the guy sitting in his car again. I am kicking myself right now for not calling the police. Why would someone be sitting in their car in 108 degree weather? Duh Lindsey!!!!!! If you see anything out of the ordinary, don't hesitate to call the police and make sure to keep all doors and windows locked. I'm really not trying to freak everyone out, but I know everyone has kids and when I hear of things like this happening in our own neighborhood, you cant help but be aware.
And yes, for those of you that know Greg, he is freaking out and is 'on patrol' walking the neighborhood with Tank right now.

The Media Needs To Be Put In Check

Watching some of the media over the past week has made it very clear that they want Obama as the next president. I don't understand why they are turning him into the next "Kennedy"? And lets be honest with ourselves...If he was white, no one would give a rats behind about him. I don't understand why people want to vote for him just because of his ethnic background? Isn't that called being prejudice? And the media doesn't help this at all. I just tried to look some stuff up about the republican convention that is suppose to start tomorrow and they said more media stations were going to cover the hurricane that's coming in rather than the convention... I'm sorry, but our country has a couple hurricanes a year. You would think they might be slightly more concerned with who might be our next president. I cant wait until Sarah Palin becomes VP so she fire all the haters out there.
Ok, so I realize that I completely used my blog for a sort of ventilation, but I really think all these Obama lovers are really starting to get to me...And by the way, I know can't stand half of Hollywood!!!!

Good Idea

This is an email Laura sent me. I love it!

The other day I went downtown to run a few errands. I went to the local coffee shop for a snack. I was only there for about 5 minutes, and when I came out, there was this cop writing out a parking ticket. I said to him, 'Come on man, how about giving a person a break?' He ignored me and continued writing the ticket. His insensitivity annoyed me, so I called him a 'Nazi.' He glared at me and then wrote out another ticket for having worn tires. So I proceeded to call him a 'doughnut eating Gestapo.'He finished the second ticket and put it on the windshield with the first one. Then he wrote a third ticket when I called him a moron in blue. This went on for about 20 minutes. The more I talked back to him the more tickets he wrote. Personally, I really didn't care. I came downtown on the bus and the car that he was putting the tickets on had one of those bumper stickers that said, 'Obama in 08.' I try to have a little fun each day. The doctor tells me that it's important for my health.

R.I.P Bunny FUFU

My mom was kind enough to watch the boys for me today while I went with Laura to her dress fitting. When I got back, my mom had this look on her face and I knew Cody had done something really bad.
My mom had just got his little tiny bunny and it was probably only a month old. It was so tiny and so cute. Cody was so excited to see the bunny too. Well, he ended up killing the bunny. We don't know what happened, but he said he dropped it. Yes, my son is a bunny killer. On the way home, I guess I was being too hard on him and he started crying for the bunny. I know he is only 3 and has no concept of death or what he did, but he knew I was really upset with him.
I am soooooooooooooooooooo sorry mom!!!!! The things you put up with from our family...You can have our turtle if you want?

RIP FUFU-August 2008-August 2008

Pictures Of The Boys

Here are some pictures I took over the past week.

Locked up, they wont let me out...j/k The only thing Trevor would be locked up for is being too dang cute.

Little boys can make BIG messes. Later he dumped out the trash that's right behind him.

Already a dare devil?

Lately I have been matching all of their clothes. It's so cute.

I love this picture of their faces!!!! They look so much alike.

Cards Game

Laura and I were so excited to go to the Cardinals game on Friday...Ok, I take that back. We were so excited to eat some nachos and the game was a bonus. We both got some nachos with extra cheese. Later, we both got a lemonade. I got a churro (those things are so good) and she got twislers as well. When we were back in our seats watching the game, Laura turns to me and says "I wish had some more cheese to dip my licorice in"...*You know your pregnant when you want to use nacho cheese as a dipping sauce for your licorice*. That was so funny to me so I warned her it would make blog news. I still had mine left over and she decided she didnt want to gross anyone out so she just used the sauce for her saltines (savior of all things when pregnant by the way). Anyway, the Cards ended up losing to the Broncos. No worries though, I still love them.

I will be kind of late, but I will so be there dressed to impress. It was going to be on the 13th but neither Meghan or I could make it so thank you thank you thank you for changing it!!!! For those of you who are thinking 'why havent I heard about this', it's because it was just decided today and dont worry, cute little invites will be sent out or delivered.

Wednesday

I just wanted to remind everyone that play group is at Peter Piper this Wednesday (tomorrow) and it starts at 11. There were only a couple people last week so I just wanted to encourage everyone to come, hang out and let the kiddos run around crazy for a couple of hours. See you tomorrow!

Hooray For The Cardinals

For those of you who don't know, I love football! (I even skipped a girls night tonight so I could stay home and watch the game!!!Yes, that's how dedicated I am) I also love the Cardinals! They are now 2-1 in their pre-season games and had their first pre-season shut out game for the first time since 2003 against the stinky Raiders tonight.
Laura invited me to go to the game this coming Friday against Denver, and let me say that I AM SOOOOOOOO EXCITED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I love going to the stadium and seeing all the hardcore fans all dressed up and acting ridiculous. Seriously, one of my top 10 things to do before I die is to go to a Superbowl.

Girls Day

Laura and I got to have such a fun girls day today. First we went shopping at Scottsdale Fashion Square and found the Bridesmaids shoes for her wedding. It really didn't take long either...I thought we would be looking at shoes all day long, but we ended up finding these cute shoes. Im so glad I brought the dress with me to make sure they looked alright together. Since we had time left over from shopping, we got to go to Sprinkles Cupcakes!!!!!!!! We were both soooooo excited about getting to go to Sprinkles. It was on one of our favorite shows, The Girls Next Door awhile ago and ever since then I've wanted to try them. Let me tell you, they were sooooooo good. If you ever have a cupcake craving, go to Sprinkles. After Sprinkles, we stopped off at LeAnnes (also another bridesmaid) work to show her the shoes, share some cupcakes, and hang out. It was a lot of fun. I love LeAnne. I have known LeAnne since kindergarten and she is one of my best friends and probably one of the funniest people to talk to. All in all, it was a great day!

P.S. Speaking of The Girls Next Door, I cant wait to see that new movie The House Bunny.

Laura and Me at Sprinkles...If you couldn't tell by the sign above our heads:)

Trevors 9 Months Today!

Trevor is 9 months old today but looks like he is a 1 year old...The kid is HUGE! I haven't weighed him lately, but the last time I did he was 24 lbs and 30 inches long He is already too big for car seat. His feet hang off the edge, and if I go somewhere, I have to take him out of the seat b/c he is too heavy for me.
Trevor now has 7 teeth and loves to use them. He pretty much eats everything we do and then ends up eating Cody's left overs as well. I know this is so bad, but his favorite is to share peanut butter M&Ms with Daddy. He knows when Greg goes to get them and is by his side within seconds.
Trevor is crawling all around and pulling himself up on anything he can get a hold of. He loves help with walking too.

He is still such a wonderful baby. I don't think I have ever met such a laid back, more well behaved baby. Maybe I am a bit biased, but he is seriously so good and rarely complains about anything...let me remind everyone that Cody is his brother too. Cody loves to play with him but can be a bit rough sometimes, and Trevor just loves it. We love you Trev!

Oh, this was funny. Yesterday I guess Trevor just got really sleepy and decided to fall asleep right in the middle of the living room. It was really cute.

I Love My Husband

Anyone who knows my husband, knows that he is a real mans man, not one of those metro sexual kind of guys. Anyway, we take turns reading to Cody at night and last night was Greg's turn. Cody has one of those books with a bunch of stories in it and Greg was like, what would you like to read tonight, and he starts naming off boy kind of stories, Jake and the Bean Stock, Steadfast Tin Soldier etc. Well, I guess Cody decided that he wanted to hear Cinderella, and I was walking by to put Trevor in his crib and all of a sudden I hear Greg doing his best Cinderella impersonation voice. It was really cute and made me smile. The things we do for our kids :)

Are You Ready For Some Football?!

I am so dang excited that football season is approaching...September 4th to be exact. I have been watching the preseason games and have been so impressed with our beloved Cardinals. They are 2-0 at the moment. I haven't seen any of my other teams games yet though. I know, I'm a traitor, but I also love the Seahawks...Go Seahawks!
Who needs money for bills, groceries, and gas? I need to start saving for football tickets!

And thank you to Meghan for making my whole year by letting me know that the Twilight movie now comes out on 11-21-08 (Trevor's bday) instead of 12-12-08. That's a whole 4 weeks of not waiting anymore...maybe I should go buy a lottery ticket or something, b/c today must be my lucky day!

Tethered

So since the Twilight Saga has officially come to an end (tear...another tear) I think it might be time to find another book. I was looking under the New York Times best sellers and nothing really looked interesting there..of coarse, maybe it was because they had Barack Obamas face on a book called 'Obama Nation' (dear God save us all, oh wait, he doesn't believe in God) and I then proceeded to vomit in my mouth! So after I got over that tragedy, I looked at USAToday's books and to the side was an advertisement for Tethered http://amymackinnon.com/amys-book/.
I'm thinkin I might start reading this?

I heard this somewhere yesterday and it made me laugh

Joy School

I am so excited for Cody to start Joy School next week! My friends have it through their church and I was so happy that they asked Cody to be apart of it. There are seven 3 year olds in Cody's group, which means I only have to teach once every 7 weeks! It will be Tuesdays and Thursdays for 2 hours. Once a month on Friday will be field trip days with all the kiddos, then we still have play group on Wednesdays. This will be so good for Cody and I cant wait to have some free time to myself...with Trevor....and Gregory...I guess I can't win them all :) But thank you girls! I'm so thankful that Cody gets to be apart of this:)

It's About Time

Trevor finally decided that it was time to crawl. I dont't know what it is with my kids and crawling but he does the same thing Cody used to. We used to call Cody limp along dog because he would leave one leg turned to the side so it was easier to sit back down. Now Trevor does the same thing. Here is a short video I took of him.

6 Year Anniversary

Today is our 6 year anniversary. It's amazing how much how much can happen in only 6 short years. It's a long story, but here is the jist of it...We get married, move to Yuma, Greg goes to Iraq for 9 months, Greg comes home, gets in a severe motorcycle accident, is in the hospital for another 6 months in California, lots of driving to and from San Diego for Dr's appointments, get pregnant, have Cody, Greg gets out of the military, move back to Phoenix, live with my mom, Greg is diagnosed with severe PTSD, a lot more Dr's appointments at the VA, buy a house, get pregnant again, and have Trevor. Of coarse there are a lot of things in between that, but I think those are the major things. 6 years and still happy as ever with 2 wonderful little boys.

Laura's Other Bridal Shower

Last weekend was the 'friend' bridal shower, which could have just been called the lingerie shower, and today was the family shower. She got a lot of fun things off her registry today, including her Jimmy Choo wedding shoes which were absolutely gorgeous.

We're closing in on the 1 month marker for her big day and she couldn't be happier. About 2 weeks ago she found out that she and her fiance' Joe are expecting their first child. On top of getting married, finding out shes pregnant, she also knows that Joe has to make another 1 year tour over in Iraq (his 4th god bless him) a month after they get married. So much has happened in such a short time period and I'm so proud of her for handling everything with grace and strength. Everything happens for a reason in life and what doesn't kill you will make you stronger (speaking from experience:) Keep it up Laura, and remember that I am always here for you. Love you!

Hooray For Cody

Last night was Cody's first night without a pull up and he did great! No accidents :) He has been potty trained since he turned 3 in May, but would still wear a pull up at night. It was actually my fault for forgetting to buy any more, but now I'm glad I forgot. Oh happy day!

Here are some pictures of the kiddos I took last night.

No wonder this boy gets away with so much, he's too dang cute, just like his dad:)!

Riley

One of my best friends, Katie, had some family pictures done and they were soooooooo cute. If anyone is interested in the photographer, let me know. Here is just one of the many amazing pictures she took. I will add the link at the bottom for the little movie she put together.
(Thank you Kate for letting me steal a picture)

Bitter Sweet

It took me 2 1/2 days to finish reading Breaking Dawn... And now I'm sad :( I love, Love, LOVED the book! It was by far the best book out of the 4. I guess now I can look forward for the Twilight movie that comes out December 12th, just in time for 26th my birthday at least. Lame-O, I know, but I love it.

So here is my recap of the weekend...

Friday night I went and stood in line for the book at Barnes and Noble, something I have never done in my life, but still fun. Here is Meghan and me. After I got my book we went to In and Out burger. Another night of being up until 1 in the morning.

Saturday I had to start getting ready for Laura's Bridal Shower. It ended up being a 6 hour bridal shower, so that was another night of a 1 o' clock bedtime.

Then of coarse Sunday was dedicated to reading, and Monday, and half of Tuesday. My poor family, and blog have been so neglected b/c of the book. Anyway, hope everyone enjoys the blog update.

I Love Girls Night!

I know I said I wasn't going to make a post until Monday, but who was I kidding. First I have to say HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Brea.
We had so much fun at Jeanne's house last night for our 'Twilight' girls night. We had the 3 best C's... Cupcakes, cookies, and candy! We also had fun making our TEAM EDWARD shirts and painting our nails. I think I finally left around 12:15 this morning. I was a little tired this morning and then I realized it's TWILIGHT DAY, HOORAY!!!!!!!!!! I'm so excited to go to dinner tonight with everyone before heading to Barnes and Noble. It's going to be another fun night!

All About The Kiddos

Cody was born in Yuma, AZ on May 10, 2005. He was born at 2:54 on a Tuesday morning. He was 7lbs 2oz and was 19 inches long... I think back on it now, and all I really remember was being in pain for the whole day. I had a Drs appointment Monday morning and my Dr stripped my membranes. Yes, it's as painful as it sounds. After my appointment, Greg and I went and walked around Wal-Mart. Sounds funny, but it was the middle of summer in Yuma and Wal-mart was the only cool place to walk. I had been having little contractions here and there but nothing substantial. After walking, we went home and waited a while. Finally by 8 o'clock that night, I was ready. The hospital was 30 minutes away. Once I got into triage, I wasn’t dilated enough to be admitted so 2 more hours of harsh contractions walking around the hospital. I do remember Greg being a wonderful coach though. It seemed like the only thing that would help was to sway side to side. Im sure it probably looked like we were dancing. Finally around 11:30 they admitted me. I had my epidural and I was set. They called my Dr around 12. Too bad for me it took her 2 and a half hours to get there!!!! I always wondered what took her so long. I think I had to push maybe 5 times and there he was. My mom and Greg’s family made it just in time. They drove down from Phoenix just in time to see sweet Cody Boy. Cody was a colic baby which made for long nights and hard days. I think he was pretty much over that by the time he was 3 months. He has always been very expressive about what he likes and does not like. He makes it very clear when he wants or needs something. There is really no ignoring him, b/c he'll find a way to get what he wants. He is also very stubborn and hard-headed, but at the same time he is so cute, it's hard to be mad at him. Ever since he was a baby, he had to touch my hair in order to fall asleep. He still does that. He's a mama’s boy when it comes to cuddling, but he also has to get in his wrestle time with Daddy. Cody loves all animals and animals seem to love him (could be he always has some sort of food on him). He loves to play cars and trucks. I think he must have 100 hot wheels. My mom got him a spring horse that he loves to play on, especially when Gregory is watching Westerns. He gets his cowboy hat on and his play gun stuck in the back of his diaper and just goes to town being "Cowboy Cody." It’s so much fun just to watch him play and use his imagination. He is such a wonderful, free spirited little boy. He is also turning out to be an awesome big brother.

Just a quick tid bit...My best friend Kate and I found out were due a day apart last March. Her due date was November 19th and mine was the 20th. Well, Kate had baby girl Riley the same day I had Trevor! What are the odds right?

Trevor was born on Wednesday November 21, 2007 at 10:19 in the morning. He was a big boy at 8lbs 12oz and 21 inches long. I was induced with Trevor because there was no luck with stripping the membranes (twice) and I never had any contractions. I was supposed to go in early morning on the 19th, but the hospital was too full. So, I was put on a waiting list. Finally, around 11 at night on the 20th, I was called in. I had sent a text to Kate to let her know I was on my way to the hospital and her husband Cody text me back to let me know she was already there (we delivered at different hospitals). Once I got there, they gave me patocin to induce me and an epidural a little while later. It was great! The delivery part of it was nothing. I had to push maybe 3 times and he was born within minutes, healthy as could be. However, a little after he was born I started to feel nauseous. I ate some yogurt and sure enough it came right back up. I sat up in bed and saw white spots everywhere and heard ringing in my ears then blacked out. They took some blood work and it said I was anemic. I was having lots of blood clots coming out. The Dr ran in and started cleaning me out and pushing on my stomach and let me tell you it hurt like heck. I like to think I have a pretty high pain tolerance too (2 kids before this, 2 tattoos, and a couple of piercings with no complaints) but this sucked!!! I was shaking uncontrollably; I thought I was having a seizer. I guess I was going in and out of it, b/c I woke up later and Greg had put a rose on my chest. I remember waking up and asking him if he thought I died. It was probably one of the scariest times of my life (besides Greg leaving for Iraq). Im so glad my mom was there to explain to me in English all the Doctor lingo. I did get to go home for Thanksgiving with a beautiful, healthy baby boy. This was a big deal because I had some scares early on in my pregnancy. On the first ultrasound, we found out that my placenta was sitting way too low so it was squishing Trevor’s kidneys. They were way too small. That was terrifying for both Greg and me. After a couple more ultrasounds and a visit to a perinatologist (sounds serious right) we found out everything was fine. I couldn’t figure out what the big deal was for having small kidneys. I mean, there are two of them. Turns out after some research, it can be a sign of Down Syndrome. It was very scary!!!! We are so blessed that Trevor is healthy! Trevor is turning out to be an angel baby. He rarely cries and sleeps all through the night. He smiles all the time and loves to look at the color blue. He loves to watch Cody and always smiles when he gets to take a bath. Trevor just seems to love life. It is so much fun just to sit and cuddle him. He makes the cutest cooing sounds. I can’t wait to see more of his personality. It just goes by too fast. Greg and I are so blessed and we are reminded of that every time we see our beautiful boys.

Justin Gregory Tieman was born Friday September 18, 2009 at 9:11 in the morning. He weighed in at exactly 7 lbs and was 19.5 inches long. Everything in a time period of about 36 hours happened so quickly. I had my Dr’s appointment at 2 on Thursday and when I was there, he asked if I wanted the 12 am or 4 am spot to be induced. I took the 12 am spot. Gregory and I made it to the hospital around 12:30, checked in, and then went up to Labor and Delivery. I was given “the gel” around 2:15 am and by 2:20 I was already having small contractions. My nurse had me get up and walk the halls for about 40 minutes. I’m not sure what time I had my epidural? It was with the first nurse I had, so sometime between 3 and 6 am. I got a new nurse around 6:15 and she let me sleep for about 3 hours to get some rest. She came in 8:45-9:00 to check on me and see if I had dilated at all. To my surprise (and hers), I was fully dilated!!! I had slept through all of my contractions! It’s a good thing my Dr was just down stairs getting ready to come up and break my water. I felt so bad for him. I pretty much shot my baby out at him. I pushed 3 times (for about a minute) and he was out. They did have to use to vacuum on him because I already had some abrasions and was starting to bleed. Luckily I got all the medicine I needed and then some to help with the bleeding and everything went really well. I was able to leave the hospital the next day, feeling pretty good. Justin is only a couple of days old, but he is already such a blessing for our family. He is a wonderful baby and absolutely beautiful. Cody and Trevor can’t seem to get enough of him. They love getting to help feed Justin. They are such good big brothers! With Justin now here, I feel our family is complete. Gregory and I couldn’t be happier to have 3 wonderful boys in our lives!
