Our October was pretty busy. Cody finished his flag football season, only losing 1 game the whole season. His team made it into the third round of play-offs but lost to the team they had also lost to in the regular season. The second game of play-offs was very exciting!! The game ended up going into overtime and Cody caught the ball, winning the game. It was so fun to watch!
Trevor is still loving soccer. When he first started playing, he was a little timid. But now, he's not afraid to get in there and take control of the ball. He thinks he wants to play soccer year-round, but I think Mom and Dad are ready for a little break.
Justin is still Mr Natural when it comes to all things sports...at his game this past Saturday, he scored 9 out of the 10 goals!! One of the other dad's sitting next to us mentioned that maybe we should limit him to 2 goals a game, lol..Sorry my kid is so awesome :)
Trevor received the Achieve More award at school. We had a nice breakfast in the cafeteria and his Teacher told everyone why Trevor is so awesome. She said that he is always willing to help someone that needs help, he's a great friend to everyone in the class, and she can always depend on him to do the right thing and set a good example for his friends to follow. We had parent-teacher conferences that same day and Trevor's teacher said she hopes she gets all of our kids for first grade :) (she had Cody as well) But it was such a great compliment. As parents, we try our best and hope that our kids will follow our examples but when Teachers tell us we're doing a good job... it just makes smile.

We went to the Arizona State Fair! I prefer to keep my feet firmly on the ground, so just Gregory and boys got wristbands. Mallory and I were just fine being spectators :) Of coarse one of the very first things we had to do was get a huge turkey leg!
Cody and Daddy wondering what they got themselves into :) I don't remember the name of the ride, but it went upside down and flipped around at the same time...yeah, I had to close my eyes just watching.
Carving pumpkins is kind of a big deal for our kids. They also love when we save the pumpkin seeds and roast them! Mallory had so much fun this year with the pumpkins. She got straight to work cleaning out her pumpkin.
And last but not least was Halloween. Cody was the Grimm Reaper, Trevor and Justin were ninja zombies and Mallory was Cinderella. We started out at Trunk-or-Treat. Mallory was a little shy at first. After church, we went around our neighborhood. By the end of the night, Mallory was going up to the houses and saying 'thank you' and bye bye' to everyone that gave her candy. Her trick or treat pumpkin was so heavy, she was dragging it behind her. Gregory and I tried to carry it for her, but she was determined to carry that thing the whole way by herself.
(this was Trevor's go-to zombie look)
